Hi guys and gals,
Quick question.. I was starting my bike this morning, and as it turned over a plume of what looked like smoke came out from the tank. Could this have been the R/R blowing, is it situated under the tank!?! ![]() if not what else is under the tank that might reat me when i lift it! Many thanks |

Probably just a litttle cough back through the carbs, the rect rect lives under the tail, bolte dto the subframe.

Good morning.
There's quite a bit of wiring that lives under the tank, you had better lift the tank & see if there's anything 'black & orrible' under there just in case. Cheers. |

Try checking all your fuses and the starter relay/main fuse - although these are under the seat they could look like the smoke cam from around the tank I spose. Like spanner man says there is a fair old amount of electrcial string under the tank though - best to have a butchers.

This may be just me being very silly, but on mine you have to take the seat off to get the tank off...

I was planning on just raising it on the hinge.. Will i still be able to see the wiring, or does it need to come off?

Most of the wiring is under the front of it and mainly runs down the LHS frame so you shound't need to get the tank all the way off
