I've just finished fitting cartridge's to my 650 Curvy forks. I bought a pair of forks from a 750VFR 1993-1997, stripped all the internals including the springs and grafted them into the SV. Total cost- 4 hrs work + £ 53 on ebay and £ 5 for 1 litre of 7.5w fork oil .First roadtest tomorrow. I will update on the results.

An interesting idea. Keep us posted, and maybe a 'how-to' if all goes well?
Just how much grafting did it require? ![]() |

It'll be interesting to hear your results. I received *today* a package from PDQ containing Racetech cartridge emulators, springs and oil. Cost a teensy bit more than you paid and I suspect may well take me longer than 4 hours to fit.

Roadtest today was good. not great but i've just finished making fine adjustments. eg spring preload and air gap. The conversion was extremely easy to do. the only tech bit was drilling and tapping the top caps to locate the cartridges at the top, i took lots of pics as i went along. When I have finished with the fine tuning and can honestly recommend it as a good worthwhile conversion, I will post a full detailed article with pics.
