I have my A2 test tomorrow, I failed the last one for a few reasons- I forgot to cancel a signal so he failed me on that, I missed a few blind spot checks so again a fail, and apparantly I didn't look at a junction, but I'm fairly sure I did.
So that was a pretty comprehensive fail, but I only ended up with 6 errors, 4 of them being blind spot check misses. My instructor told me that I'd have no trouble passing, I have my retest tomorrow. Any tips? |

Relax, they don't expect you to be exceptional, just adequately safe. You've had the first test out of the way so you know what to expect now.
1. Indicate & cancel your indicators. (If you're uncertain just cancel your indicators without even checking they are on) 2. Make all the observations your instuctor has told you. 3. Get the emergencey stop & U-turn right. 4. Obey all traffic laws Simple you will have passed! |

5: Obvious mirror checks and Life savers. Make sure the tester can see you move your head.

I only passed a few weeks ago (2nd time also - like you indicators), and havn't ridden since, but what really helped me was when it gets to the emergency stop/u turn bit TAKE YOUR TIME, you can't fail for that, and you won't pass for doing it quickly either.
When he tells you what he wants you to do and walks away from you, take at least 15 seconds to do the manouvre in your head, and only think about putting the bike in 1st after that. Remember - you're also shaving minutes off the rest of your test ![]() 1) Don't panic, regardless 2) Take your time 3) Do everything he says (specifically when he asks you to stop, do it fairly swiftly (and safely)) 4) Whenever "in your own time" gets said....take time to get your head together. It really calmed me down doing that. Good luck fella. |

I shouted all the instructions the examiner gave me back to myself..
must have made me sound abit odd if any passer by heard me but it certainly kept me focused. I also shouted to myself everytime I had to do a lifesaver or mirror check.. well worth it in my eyes.. |

![]() I'm liking the time wasting thing though, I hope to be playing stuck behind a bus for the whole time, would be awesome. Thanks for the luck from everyone |
