Default Biaggi gets the Honda elbow

Look at this!!!!
http://www.crash.net/motorsport/moto...ggi_hopes.html

It is disgraceful! Honda have given the wotsit to the One True Champ.

Good job I dont own a Honda coz it it will be burning in disgust about now and I will never touch a Honda again with a barge pole.

One True Champ ?? Are you on medication ??

Whilst I appreciate we all have our favourites - let's not get carried away !!

Anyway, on the question of who decides who rides what; then Gresini or whoever is quite at liberty to sign MB - THEIR CHOICE. It's just that Honda won't supply them with bikes - THEIR CHOICE.

Why on earth would Honda be interested in providing machinery to a capable (but elderly - by MotoGP standards) rider who in the past bleated & whined week in & week out about his bike ?

I'd like him to stay in WSB anyway, he's a great addition.

I do think that Max due to his past excellence on 250's could be a force in Moto GP. However I think he has more potential in WSBK these days.

I have to say if he had been given a Honda ride I would have been amazed as he p*ssed Honda off more than we could imagine. Showing loyalty to Max ended up destroying the Sito Pons team in Moto GP. Sad but that's how it goes.

Same here. Two years out from MotoGP is a long time, given the rate of development of electronics. I think Max would find it tough to be thrown back into MotoGP.

I'm not suprised the deal fell through, I never thought it would come to fruition. Honda are stereotype japanese, love those who are loyal but seek to break down those who are not. Mess with Honda, dont get a MotoGP ride.

But the Ducati link could lead him back into MotoGP on a desmosedici in a season perhaps...?

Ducati+Biaggi+Mugello

Hmmm

You don't think Biaggi deserves a go after an excellent performance in WSBK?

I mean Pedrosa has been beating his gums all season giving it some against Honda...even rumours of him going in a huff!

No, I don't he think he automatically deserves a go after a WSB season which was a but up and down, sometimes incredible, sometimes relatively anonymous - and don't even mention the move on Haga. Maybe if he was a 20 year old future prospect, but not now, he has had his go in GP, a really good go.
imo

OFFICIAL

Max Biaggi gets no ride in MotoGP.

The Gresini Honda seat goes to Nakano and the D'antin Ducati seat goes to Elias.

I mean Elias! Surely Max could match that guy. What Elias done lately?

I'm new here so don't everyone jump on me at once...basically MB in my eyes can't expect Honda to hump his leg when he turns his attention back to them. I mean he has been super critical to the extreme of bleating about how horrible his Honda was when he did have a ride with HRC. They (Honda) already made their plans without MB probably somewhere in the middle of this last season. I can't imagine a large fairly logical thinking corporation not planning ahead, no way no how would they just drop everything to make room for someone who was less than cordial leaving them.

IMO!
