Default Ignition barrel borked after off?

Haven't really looked at it so don't really know, but just wondering if anyone has any quick pointers?

Slight (and I do mean slight) off, regular slide down the road kind, nowt major, the ignition barrel now will now go to lock and to off, but not to "on". It looks as though the barrel may have twisted round a bit, "off" is now straight ahead, and I thought (perhaps incorrectly) that "on" used to be straight ahead.

Like I say, havent checked properly, just sat here getting increasingly achey, it might have bust the lock stops but I don't think so as no indication of handle bar-into-tank damage.

Default Re: Ignition barrel borked after off?

Have you tried putting the key in the ignition and hitting the top of the key with the palm of your hand?
Bit of a long shot I know, but it may release something which is stuck in the ignition barrel and enable you to turn the key. It worked for me one time.
