I had one for about 3 months and as a budget GPS unit it was ok. The screen was a little small though and it did take quite a long time to recalculate a route if you went off course. The battery life was a bit cr@p though but you can buy a kit which allows you to wire it to the bike. GMonsta borrowed it for the summer trip to France and it went mental as soon as it went abroad apparently, but that could have been my fault after not updating the maps correctly. Oh, and you can't do a postcode search which is a bit frustrating as you have to put in a full address. On the plus side it's waterproof, but watch out for the little rubber cap that covers the USB port as they can become loose exposing the port to the elements. There's no external speaker either so instead of talking to you it just beeps when it wants your attention.
TBH I would save for the TomTom rider2 which is a stonking piece of kit, or wait for the Zumo to come down in price further. I find it more satisfying now though planning a route the night before on a map and writing tank notes........I felt that using a GPS was cheating a little and also quite distracting. HTH. |

I had a Quest for a short time, if you are not goinhg to install audio on the bike the screen is very small for trying to use on the move. As Lucky said you can't postcode search, that apart it worked well and using a RAM mount I manage to get it inot my peripheral vision so that I didn't have to take my eyes off the road to read it.
Currently using a Garmin 2610 and an autocom, don't have to look at all it tells me the directions. |

This is my Quest 1 which is ok though I haven't used any other gps units. I think the quest 2 has a bigger memory, postcode search and speed camera warnings. The unit was mainly brought for my Barcalona trip a couple of years ago and was very handy to use alongside maps. Probably better off getting a newer unit as this model has some flaws. |

Depends on whether they do a 'Carparks of Britain' map?

Ok not a patch on a Zumo. I'd offer him £100 including mount. |

Basic and easy to use would sum up the Quest.
