I have a 2001 curvey which has developed a strange alternative to the kill switch, in that at low engine speeds such as are used when doing slow manouvers, when I turn the bars to initiate a left turn the engine cuts out. I noticed this afew times so checked to see if this happens all the time when the bikes stationary, sure enough it does. The engine is warm turn the handles right continues running, turn the handles left the engine cuts out. Has anyone experianced this or am I the first? I don't feel like fault finding this week so if you can help I would be most greatfull.

sounds like the kill switch wire....... maybe its damaged & shorting ? or it may need re-routing?

Does the clutch lever have a cut out on a curvey, if so check those wires as well.

another point of view is if your throttle cables are too tight and when you turn you loose them

How would that kill the engine?
If they're too tight it will just rev a little at full lock

I'm still thinking electrical, but Smudge is right - if the 'A' throttle cable is a dab tight and the linkage is being held off the tickover stop, then the cable is now the tickover adjuster - turning the 'bars could slacken the cable enough to drop the tickover to an unsustainable level.
