SV tyres are normally 120mm; i wouldnt go wider as this might increase the chace of aquaplanning, even if you do have wets fitted...

You'd be better off using the right size road tyres rather than the wrong size wets. A 110 front will sacrifice lean angle, grip and turn in. It's really not worth getting, you'd see little benefit and most likely you'd crash.

i just dont think a 110 is for the bigger bikes 110 would be for an aprilia rs125 the likes of a 250 onwards would be 120.

Nope, why sacrifice though? Go with the 120/70 Pirelli wets.

why sacrifice what?

I meant compromise.....

Its pretty easy to get the optimal tyre for this bike so I wouldnt bother limiting my choice.

im all sorted now anyways blue i ended up with what i think is the ryt size for the sv which is 120/160 in my eyes i think the 110/150 is for the aprilia rs125 anything 250 above useally has at least a 120/160.

That is BS ... I used to use 120/150 on my 600 ;)

(and that is where I actually got the 150 for the SV ;))

My 600 had/has a 180 rim ;)

I was told to run a 150 by a specialist, it wasn't one of my now world famous Blue_ 'suck it and see' ideas :smt101 :smt044

My bad ... it was a 165  not a 150 (just had a look) it had a 5 in it though right

I just remembered it/them being smaller than the dry tyre ... which it was, just 165, not 150 ...

Like I said, it had a 5 .... :smt040

So, in short I ran/run a 165 on my SV rear ... primarily as I had it already mind ... and a 120 front ... actually felt really good* 8)

*until I was punted off
