Mind you. Your not exactly a good example. What with this perpetual habit you have of riding over your own foot.
They know i've done it once! :bom:

I've just got the car back (what, ride a bike to a bike meet? Are you having a giraffe?) and I'm working from home today, so I should be there around 7 if not before.

If I turn up, like.

Hi chaps. I've decided to come straight from work so I'll hang about here for a bit. Much easier than travelling 30 miles home and then 21 miles to the pub. It's only 24 miles to the pub from where I work (Brentford). Straight down the M4. But............if I'm late then I'm a bit lost. I'll find it eventually. See you soon.

It's absolutely impossible to get lost going from the M4 to the shire horse.

M4 J8/9, A404, second exit (J9B) from A404 takes you on to the A404, turn left at the end of the slip road and the Shire Horse is a few hundred yards up on the left, set back from the road but it's huge so if you miss it you probably shouldn't be riding anything bigger than a pogo stick.

Hey nutter, bring the filter and I might well have that off you. My K3 one is ok looking, but hasn't been changed in at least 3 years I think.

I don't envy any of you fellas riding home tonight - my traction control light was practically strobing all the way home.

Was very careful on the way home. The rear end was all over the place round the roundabout.

The manager was a little upset about the burnout but we all thought it was quite funny!

There was a moment during your wheelie when we thought you were going to lose it!

Tis true, he wasn't impressed about the burnout. If you all thought he was going to lose it, then you must have seen a different wheelie than the one I saw.

Officially the best attendance we have had. 17 people. Three of which poached from Guilford. Excellent. :thumleft:

Tara and Falc, Nice to see you again after such a long time.

Dan, was nice to meet you. If you wish to defect, you'll fit in just nice.

To all the rest that attended. Good job. Well done. Especially Nick numbers. I know it must have been a sacrifice.

The GM meet doesn't have eels. Thus, we win.

Yep, I must admit it was a good meet ;)

Great seeing you again Si and Jo, has been a long time indeed, we'll def. come to some more meets and also good to see Sosha who used to frequent the GM...

Was good meeting everybody and look forward to some wacky races with you lot :D Sounds like you have a slightly different spin on getting lost on a rideout

What a great meeting. The GM really is a decaying corpse in comparison. I don't think we even had that many people at our Xmas party!

Was great to meet the 'Ape'. What a living legend. Was nice to catch up with those I'd met and nice to see some I haven't.

I'll never look at eels the same way again.........:-s

We even got a little bit of a wheelie as SVNutter tore off in the fog and ice. Maniac..........I like it! :D

I'm also rather glad that you all think I look a lot younger than I am. Bonus.

ogden
20-02-08, 09:36 AM
I'm not so glad the Ape thought I was older than him, unless I misheard that particular accusation.

10 years, ffs!

Good seeing you two ....hopefully catch up again on the 3rd. When it will be warmer than it was last night :bigsmurf:

Glad I was wearing waterproofs - melting frost with Jeans is no fun at all.

Man that was foggy on the way home!! A real pea-souper, I couldn't see a thing. It was a really good meet, great to meet all the new guys and gals. And I think it would probably be prudent to not **** off the shire horse managment in the future if we want to keep meeting there! (Good tricks though nutter ;))
