Polite Request.
Can we keep the chit chat out of this thread please, I would appreciate it if it stayed on topic so we can keep an eye on who is coming and what sort of numbers to expect, rather than having to wade through pages of chat.
If you want to chat use the megathread in IB or use the AR Discussion thread.

AS ABOVE !!
sorry I started de rail again..
I now don't know if I am going to be able to make it. At least not for the full package of Friday to Monday. Still waiting for confirmation of my contract from my new job. I then have to give a months notice at my old job. My new employers have asked me not to take any holidays for the first three months. Unless that contract comes with the next week or so, it'll be game over.

The ride out is actually on the Saturday but we SoHo peeps ( that includes you TM) and most others prefer to travel up Friday night and make a BIG weekend of it all. However there is nothing against turning up on the Saturday for the ride-out.

Nowt worse than having to organise tents and stuff before or after a rideout....

When is the latest date we can confirm??

You can leave it till the last minute if you need to. i have a good guide for numbers by the poll so the space is booked to cater for them plus quite a few others.

Thanks... will have to see how littl'un settles in as both dogs will be crated at night. Lupo i know will be fine as he loves his crate and often takes himself off to sleep in it during the day... but the other pup will only have been with us for a few weeks so shall see how it goes.

It might be worth giving the camp site a ring and making sure dogs are allowed on site.
Just as a thought there seems to be an awful lot of cars turning up, will there be enough space if we have a dozen or so cars and vans as well.

wooohoo i can bring the dogs!! As long as they are kept on lead... not a problem as i can't let these off LOL

i'll cuddle your dog, we were at our local last month and someone brought it a Husky....I fell for it, he was a beauty, always have thought they were a lovely breed, but meeting one face to face for an evening was wonderful. Meeting a Malamute will be very interesting to me.

They're good those, my mate Graham has one. Far too nice for festivals, mind, but it's so far been resistant to rain, beer, eggs, and graham falling on it while too drunk to get in the door. Stress testing!
Millets had a tent display in the town park. It was blowing a gale and the thing was hardly moving. Plus it's quite roomy, plenty of space for all my clobber. And it says on the bag 'ideal for motorcycle camping...' so that was good enough for me. Hope I won't have to test it with rain, beer and eggs! Or Graham!!

I am in this boat too, and still unsure whether I'll be there. I was a firm definite a while back but things have changed quite a bit and will be well up in the air by the time it comes round.
If I make it (looking 60/40 in favour at the moment) I'll bring a friend and his own 2 wheels.

Don't want to send this thread on a downwards spiral really, but I'm less than certain to, well long story short, I was comitted to go, however
1.) I've found out that it's my first full week back (as I'm on a graduated return to work)
2.) I'm not even at work that week as I'm on a Cisco course
3.) I don't know even where it's going to be yet
4.) the exam is friday afternoon ( so I can't book the day off)
5.) first course in the last couple of years so don't really want to pi** off work really
6.) I've forgetton a load of the stuff I'll need for this course, so it'll be heavy going anyway.
7.) I hate exams, but always work hard at passing them so I probably wont sleep for the few days before.
So come friday evening, I'll be burnt out, knackered and have to ride down alone, admittedly it's only 3 hours or so, but then I wasn't planning on doing the rideout anyway, so should I just come down Saturday morning, but then if I'm not doing the rideout what's the rush, so should I make it the afternoon /evening time ? but if I do that is it really worth all that travelling just for one night in a tent then back home :smt102
Lots of reasons to go, and lots not to.
I wish I could be more positive about it, but then there are a number of realistic reasons not to be.
We'll see.

Been out to the pub with Viper and Liz this evening and had another look at the field, facilities etc.
Field is looking good, grass nicely cropped and also the field is nice and flat. Despite the fact we've had alot of rain here in the last week or so its not squelchy either so drainage looks to be good to.
Theres plenty of hard parking round the back of the pub, some of its a bit gravelly, other bits are tarmac.
We sampled the food in the pub, a very reasonable £4.95 for cheeseburger and chips, nice big burger and plenty of chips with salad, to much for me I coudlnt finish it :D Also a reasonable range of bar meals at that price, with a more expensive selection £10 ish available in the pub restaurant.
As I said in the 4 wheels thread, the field is big enough and accesable to get both cars and bikes into. If you are parking your car in the field though you may get blocked in by tents so only park it in there if you dont wana get it out until Sunday. If you want it for beer run etc then park it up on in the actual pub carpark.
Fields big enough to create if you want it a quiet area so that those of you who are bring your little ones with you can pitch up in the far ned of the field so that they wont get disturbed as much by the noisy b*ggers who stay up till stupid o''clock in the morning :D
So I think we are all ready to go. Here's hoping its gonna be a good one.
thanks mate, will pop down to see in the next week
