Nickname that has stuck :)
When I left the RAF I didn't shave in a morning if I didn't want to and folk started calling me the furry ginger one.
I was going to have Wacker as that was my nickname when I was younger.

Do you HAVE to have a nickname in the forces?!
Given it in primary school. In South Wales most males are known under their nicknames. I was lucky it wasnt used when I signed up here. Derived from my surname - Morgan.

My name is Rupert!
Started with 'svstreetfighter' (cuz that's what I had), changed it to 'Strayer', then tempted fate by buying a Ducati and changing it to what it is now. I think I'll be going back to 'Strayer' before the Thunderace starts giving me grief :D
errmmm.....its my name :(
Wish I could change it to just 'Graeme' now to be honest but someone who has never posted or been online since registering it has it :(
Dicky Ticker

I think usernames should be freed if unused in a year say. Then the people who 'deserve' them can have them.
Wasnt such a ting done for Hovis, thereby setting a precedent under forum law?
It was pester power in action from Hovi5. I thought Sythree was a good one too, it changed when I wasn't looking and it took me a while to catch on Ed. So if we're going to have a bout of renaming, can you put the old one in your footer.

Stuff
And as for my username, I quote from my post in a similar thread:
I used to own no. 63 of 100 special editions of the Skoda Octavia vRS known as the vRS Rally (built to commemorate 100 years of Skoda's involvement in various motorsports) built in 2002.
There's only 23 of them in the UK, and only 38 RHD in the world. They were stickered up to resemble replicas of the Skoda WRC cars. Hence, WRCSixtyThree.

I have no idea what mine means and i'm too scared to ask my man the meaning behind it. I do like rubber ducks though but i'm not a big fan of death! I should have been Hello Kitty :cat:
Warthog
14-03-08, 02:02 PM
My first thoughts on test riding my sv were that it was like riding a warthog; just kind of wild and grunty and flung you anywhere you wanted to go! Not sure if that makes sense, I haven't even ridden a real warthog anyway before you ask so I can't compare them!
I think usernames should be freed if unused in a year say.
YESH this would be good  unlikely though I bet ?
been called stoppy since i was about 12ish, all due to my surname

Alpinestarhero
14-03-08, 03:39 PM
Alpinestarhero generally breaks down into two components:
1. Alpinestar as in Alpinestars motorcycle apparel. I own a fair bit of the stuff (boots, 2 jackets, leather bottoms, rucksack). Mostly out of choice, because I like thier designs, and some of it out of nessesity - i havnt found anything else as comfortable.
2. Hero, as in...er...hero. Because I need to make up that I'm cool, when really I'm quite geeky :D:king:

Balky001
14-03-08, 08:31 PM
Well Balky means refusing or likely to refuse to proceed, act, or function as directed or expected <a balky mule> <a balky engine> .
So it could be I chose it to covertly suggest I am unpredictable or stubborn. But I didn't. It's a shortening of my surname with a 'y' at then end for when I played football :D My wife is 002 and daughter 003!

Mines just a nickname that iv been stuck with.
Mine's merely a surname with added Y. It's a long standing nickname from rugby playing days, possibly related to my no compromise approach to playing the game.
Haha....the old Joan Collins joke.

From my boating days..............
I had a pair bright red of Tesco pants (from a ?2 multipack - incredibly sexy) that I wore for boating all the time. One day I forgot them so paddled commando and one of my paddling buddies said 'Oh no we can't go boating without mike's lucky pants'. Sure enough we had a bit of a mare on the river that day and the name stuck..........
I paddled in those pants for 20 odd years until I took a big swim in Canada and was airlifted to the hossie where they cut all my kit off including the pants...... They were 'buried at sea' at Tamihi rapids on the Chilliwack with full kayak honours.
sorry to disappoint, nothing to do with the ladies.
