Everyone will be pleased to hear Sam is much better and has stopped making a mess everywhere.
I will video him biting Daz when he comes next LOL ..... I will be training him in the art of the Kwak attack !!
Just on another note, has anyone ever had a nerve block before during surgery? I still have no feeling in my shoulder and sure they said it would last 24 hours at the most !

Had something similar on my arms and it took a couple of days, everyones different. If you are really worried then go back a.s.a.p.
You might just need a deep massage ;) Ill get my oil.

It's been like this since Monday afternoon, I can't feel anything but tingling in my shoulder and it's really itching under the plasters.
Apart from that its numb to the touch ... which in itself is confusing as I have sensation and numbness.
I may give it bit more time then call ward I was on, surely I should have some feeling to touch.
The other 2 gals on my ward where in pain all night and they had the same op, they were on so much pain relief they got it turned down, I have had none to date and that worries me as I was told it's a very painful procedure.

Hey I am feeling goooood. Arm still numb but hey I like it this way now, walking into things don't hurt LOL
Gonna speak to nurse at doctors when stiches come out if still numb, gonna ask if they can do my other arm so I wont feel a thing when I fall over drunk :lol:

Not my head that hits the deck, hangovers I can handle ... I have a gravity problem when under the influence, never feel the fall until the next day when I am black and blue.

I got the 3 of the most tinest of holes (no comment on that Blue or Cuffy :rolleyes:) so me suntan is still intact :p Shell remains a happy bunny.

No I have not been operational since Aug 07 :( I am in the offices which is driving me up the wall.
Having said that I am now off sick for 6 weeks and that is worse. Jeremy Kyle and 24/7 mad dog.
Won't be back until around Xmas I would imagine as I am not allowed to go the gym for 3 months and then I will have to build up my muscle (major muscle wastage after almost a year)... pass fitness test and learn the law again LOL
I am free for little jobs, that only require one hand and no typing as this is hard one handed too LOL

Had my stitches out Thursday and I am left with 3 ickle cross marks :D looks good.
I have done almost 2 weeks of physio and I would say I have 75% movement back in my arm. To date I have had very little pain so I am very happy :-P
Just got to get my muscle built back up (3rd picky showing muscle wastage) which I cannot do until 3 months time but hey it's looking goooooood :)

LOL what's carpal tunnel?
I came off my bike last Aug, broke my arm just below my shoulder, 6 months later it healed out of place and I had to have keyhole to remove some bone to enable me to lift my arm. Basically I had bone on bone in my shoulder joint.
Wikkid operation I have to say, 3 holes and weeks off work :rolleyes: glad they choose to do it in June LOL

Not bad scars at all hun, they`ll fade in time to next to nothing. Great news on your progress, keep it up and look forward to getting out on the bikes x

Its when the holes in your bones that the nerves go through, start to close up & squeeze the nerves, supposed to be agony, if U dont get the holes drilled out (Re-bored) you can wind up paralysed!! Three people I work with have had it done this year!!
Id never heard of it either... Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Ouch, suppose my arm was reinacting that, had bone on bone crushing nerves and tendons between when i lifted it shoulder height and that was agony!!
Its good now tho ... just a 3 month recovery :smt120

Just come back from my FINAL surgeon visit at the hospital.
6 weeks since my op on shoulder, appointment was at 4pm, got told he was running an hour late so was pleased when I got in at 4.45pm.
At 4.46pm I was leaving the hospital. Surgeon basically explained what he had done to me, shaved off that much bone I will have no further problems and all my muscles and tendons are intact.
Apart form my shoulder being all inflamed inside still I should be OK to do everything as before. Within 6 weeks I should be back to normal and can go gym. I can drive now ..... which means surely I can ride :) and I can go swimming, gym work (i.e. weights I have to wait 6 weeks til inflamation gone down)
Work here I come !!! Wheyyyyyyyyy
It's been 11 months and 7 days since the accident, so just over a year and I should be back to as good as I am gonna get !! Woppeeeeeee
Physio visits still on going but that's all good ! :)
