It seemed to work well last year so thought I'd try it again to help organise who is going when and people can sort out meet ups from there.

im tempted to do what i did last year and stop in a travel inn. Its 2 hours from where i live, so rather than having an early morning rush to get there and missing an early start, I had a few drinks & a nice meal the night before, got up about 9 the next morning, shower & breakfast before wandering over for 10am start. If you get in early enough you can get a test ride on the demo bikes :D:D:D:D anyone fancy it maybe?
Should be the Monday for me. Though I am still trying to figure out how I am meant to get down there without using the bike (I have no car licence!)

I'm on the look out for some 1piece leathers whilst I am there. Anyone else looking for something inparticular or just impulse buying?

impulse buying for me :) last year I bought my arai tour x3 helmet (same as ewan and chandler use but with the moto-x peak removed to make it look like stig helmet), accompanying tinted visor & iam training pack (cant remember if i bought owt else?). Managed to get a test ride on a k7 SV s... 3 weeks later I bought my current bike :)
I was just asking since I noticed you're in the same county as me (im down the road in acomb, york). I'll be going down in the car and if anyone's up for the night over thing then great, bonus, if not, tempted to try get a bit of a road trip going in my car & anyone else who's taking car from round 'ere

I already have one train journey planned this year up to Newcastle...that's enough for me! :p
Will probabily know more later next month.

Sat 29th for me...
I've got a hell of a weekend planned :D. Stopping at a mate's in Warwick fri night. he's going to stick my bike in his garage for the weekend. He's working at another NEC show so will drop me off in the morning. Meeting another mate at the show at some point, then we're all going over to nottingham for a night out with a couple of other old mates I haven't seen for years. Then sunday we're going to manchester to the snow dome, then back to Warwick to pick up the bike and then home. Phew.
So in short... i'll be there bright and early, and am bang up for bagging some test rides!!
Looking to buy new fork springs and oil too.

ill be there on the saturday 29th.....if my bro in law wants to ride up on the friday evening ill be staying over in a for a bright and early start.....
if he doesnt want to go then i think ill drive up on the sat and take my lil lad and the mrs make a family day of it

I'm going on the Monday and possibly the Tuesday too. I have a mate who lives just up the motorway from Birmingham so i'll be making a weekend of it.
Monday seems popular so far, anyone fancy meeting up at some point?
I'll be getting myself a new helmet and some shiny bits if the wallet allows :)

Me and 2 mates are leaving VERY early on Friday morning to drive down, spend day at the show then booked a hotel for Friday night, one or two drinkies then a gentle drive back up on Saturday. Thankfully they managed to book me a single room and they're sharing even though a family room was cheaper - no way I'm sharing a room with drunken smelly boys - yuck, lol.
It's my first bike show so I'm leaving my credit card at home :lol:
Im heading over on the friday.doing the show on sat 29th and coming home on the sunday.Without the wife yeha.staying in a hotel called nitenite.looks like they are somekind of small room thingy.but dont intend spending much time in the hotel anyway,any locals with advice were to go on fri and sat night.

I'm after some kit and other bargains, hence aiming for the first public day, hoping to get there early and bag some bargains, best ones to be had at the end of the show i'd guess but far less choice then and I'm picky :)
Dunno if J+S will be having the same bargain stuff they had last year, seemed to be due to the floods, ah well. heres hoping.

I'm off on the first Sat, with my Dad as usual and one of my mates. My Dad is on the look out for a new steed having recently written off his FZ6 Fazer, but as he has no idea what he wants, I can see it being a long day! I'd like some new leathers, but as I'm skint there will have to be some real bargains on what I'm after for me to be splashing out.
would quite like to go as I have not been for a few years but as it will be about 2 weeks before I drop sprog I might not be up to it. lol

Heh just ordered myself an org t-shirt for the same reason as I'm a bit shy to introduce myself (and too much like a kid in a toy shop to look around most of the time)
plus the t-shirts are cool :cool:

i ordered my tickets on thursday...paid the 3 quid for the oxford thing.
so will be me, my gf and our son on the 29th....no test rides for me now tho with the elbow, but should be a good day, ill prpbably be wearing a t-shirt with DAPPA D on the back if anyone wants to say hi!!
Sat 6th for us. Got to get all of daughters gear and look at Vespa's as that's what she wants for her 16th in March.
Scary, where have the last 16 years gone!
PS one of us will have a hoodie on with 'Rolypoly' on the back (our boat) if anyone wants to say hello.

I'm going on the sunday 30th. got a surprise party on the sat in Ely then stopping in kettering overnight. taking my pick up truck so should get a few bits in the back if required! mind you my other half will be off shopping at the bullring so no doubt she will get a load of stuff as well. if anyone wants a lift from kettering......

Even more like a little kid now:
The amazing Bat-pod from the Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight will be unleashed as a major feature at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, at the Birmingham NEC!
This awesome machine will be on display every day in Hall 2 and Bike Show fans can catch up on the amazing machine in action, in an exclusive The Dark Knight DVD competition.
The Bat-pod, has 20" front and rear tires and is powered by a high-performance, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine - geared toward the lower end for faster acceleration. The exhaust is routed through the hollow aluminum tubing used for the frame of the bike.
