Dear:Sir/Madam,
Please do not be surprised by receiving this email. I deliberately sent it to you.
I am soliciting for your assistance for the transfer of US$30Million.
For introduction sake, I am the financial controller in charge of the sales of crude oil in my country.
This position has offered to me the opportunity to acquire the sum of US$30Million.
I have the problem of keeping this US$30Million in my local bank account because as a civil servant, I earn salary monthly and my salary for a 100 years cannot be up to US$30Million.If I bank the US$30Million,it will be noticed and the government will seize it.
So I am soliciting for your help so you can provide for me your bank account to enable me transfer this fund to you.
Please I am under serious need for a foreign partner who will agree to receive this fund.
I have all logistics to declare that the US$30Million belongs to you so I can transfer it to your bank account.
And we can invest with this money under your control.
Please while replying, include your information:
(1).Your Full names.
(2).Your home and office address.
(3).Your telephone and fax numbers.
(4).Your occupation.
(5).Your age.
(6).Copy of your int'l passport, driver's license, or any valid ID card.
As soon as I receive your email reply, I shall resume communication with you and arrange to meet with you to conclude this transfer as we must meet to have trust for each other before I can transfer this fund to you.
Get back to me in this email:mrsgracemathins@gmail.com (mrsgracemathins@gmail.com)

I had an ex who would love to receive mails like this, he was part of an internet group who took great delight in answering these requests and would then take the sender for a long torturous ride, often involving tattooing, silly photos and general meanness. If you think the people who act on these messages are silly, you should see the photos of the scammers with rude tattoos and t-shirts. It is almost enough to make you weep with laughter.

Bless them, they bring us joy, when not stealing our identity.

...

I must admit to doing similar to what Jayneflaks has posted. Some people will go to extrondinary lengths from the comfort of their house, if they think that they're going to get something out of it.

I remember seeing a long post about someone who managed to get the scammers to send them hundreds of dollars for postage to Nigeria. The scammers were so happy they thought they were going to get thousands of dollars worth of laptops in return for a fake western union money transfer. Good to see the tables turned.
