The LAST AR was in Yeovil - 08
so technically last YEAR's AR was in the lakes - 07

(IIRC year before that was Mid Wales - England border somewhere around the Wye and the year before that was somewhere lovely near a river but I couldn't give you a grid reference) :p

Right, I've caught up with that now!

Do you accept non SV's on the rideout?

[quote=BigApe;1696173]Dizzy,

As you are now aware, the actual ride out is secondary to the event itself. In all honesty, it doesn't really matter that much if everyone did a loop around the M25. The bit that matters the most is the socialising. THIS is what makes the AR. The ride is really just the 'excuse' for the whole weekend.

Hey that's that sorted then. One lap clockwise of the M25 on the saturday, camp in a school field that night, then an anti-clockwise lap for Sunday diehards!

Who's got the orange marshalls jackets then??

Absolutely, definately not, not way, never, no how!!!

PS Have you looked at last year's pics? Or many of the other ride out pics? Often seems SV's are the rarity these days!
It's the SV spirit wot matters, not the actual bike - promise!!

Very doubtful for us next year:(

It usually falls when we're away abroad, and as we didn't have a holiday this year, we're definitely having one next year.

Dizzy,

The bit that matters the most is the socialising. THIS is what makes the AR. The ride is really just the 'excuse' for the whole weekend.

For all of you, don't get hooked up on the idea the ride is the event. It isn't. The ride is now just a small part of it.

You can all have your flame and say in due course. Out of a cast of literally a few, I will be the one moderating the section when it opens shortly. There will be plenty of discussion topics raised where you can have your input. :)

Cheers

Si.

Ah Mr Ape, maybe I made my post a little misunderstood. Of course the AR is for the socializing. I was one of those that didn't do the rideout bit this year...gah I got mesen(AND everyone else) mixed up by saying last year..I've been everywhere in the last 18 months(France, Wales, Norfolk, zummerzet, Scotland) I'm getting confused:confused:

I most certainly agree, I go to the AR to see all me mates on here, laugh with Hovis, cuddle Rictus, escape the Bear(I mean hug him too)....
....hey a loop round the M25 be ok for me...I love motorways..but then I'm a weirdo....lol

I was thinking how far we all travel.....I were bloody knackered after riding home from the last one....but it was worth every minute :-)

The location is being discussed. There will be a thread for dates as soon as the AR09 area has been set up. Things are now being worked on.

I see. One of them "on a need to know basis" things is it. Like one of them James Bond films.

that's all you need to know. You know because you need to know.

I'll say no more until the AR09 section is up and running. A statement will be produced explaining all. :)
