My mum lost her voice a few years ago. It never came back (seriously, she can't do more than mouth words to anyone now).

Either build your presentation around the very fact you have no voice today, in a humorous yet stoic way, or acquire a Steven Hawking style voice simulator. Must be downloadable somewhere ;) Good luck and let us know how you get on!

mustard... if you can stand the nippyness take a level teaspoon full.. also good for sore throats...

another thing to keep colds at bay is echinacea drops.. 15 drops in a 1/4 glass of water every morning (bottle says 2-3 times a day, just the once a day has done me) then after 3 months give it a rest for 2 weeks... the stuff really works...

isn't there supposed to be some cure in chewing garlic cloves? I've heard it works somewhere, doesn't sound my cup of tea though!
