Default losing your voice - cure?

I have a job interview on tuesday, and sods law im starting to get ill, my voice is going, and i have to give a presentation at the interview. anyone got any tips on preserving my voice? im trying not to use it too much which is harder than i thought!

My mum lost her voice a few years ago. It never came back (seriously, she can't do more than mouth words to anyone now).

i worked as an mc in ayia napa for a few yrs (up on stage rapping/singing)

every year when i first got theere and my body was getting accustomed to being rat arsed 24/7 and the heat id lose my voice

plenty of water

and honey and lemon.....

this is what worked for me, i wouldnt have had a job if it didnt!!

Either build your presentation around the very fact you have no voice today, in a humorous yet stoic way, or acquire a Steven Hawking style voice simulator. Must be downloadable somewhere Good luck and let us know how you get on!

mustard... if you can stand the nippyness take a level teaspoon full.. also good for sore throats...

another thing to keep colds at bay is echinacea drops.. 15 drops in a 1/4 glass of water every morning (bottle says 2-3 times a day, just the once a day has done me) then after 3 months give it a rest for 2 weeks... the stuff really works...
