View Full Version : problem with shoei raid 2?
had my Shoei since November now and in the last week it has started to let a noticeable amount of wind through the visor seal, i cant figure out where/why its doing it but is very annoying at 70 when you eye starts watering!
Pretty much have i got any come back to get it replaced/repaired or is it way too late now?

is the visor clipped in right?
I get that sometimes with my raid II too.
I think kwak is on to something though...
As far as i can tell its clipped in fine, didn't think it was possible to put it in any way but right, ill have a fiddle and see if its still doing it next time im out. Im guessing there's nothing i can do other than this?

If the visor is lifting slightly you might try using the catch on the left hand side to lock it down and see if that helps.

Check the screws holding the plates to the lid. I had a Z-one and after a while one came loose and I had a similar issue. A doddle to correct if this is the problem. If they are tight, try adjusting them so you get a better seal.

Ooh, good idea. Just tightened mine. Hope it does the trick.

I have had mine for about 2 years and never had a problem. I thinking maybe a slight fault, could be a one off. Take it back and complain see what happens

i get this with my raid I. it really annoys me and i've never managed to figure out a solution, which is why i've decided i'm buying arai next time as long as it fits properly, but that's not going to be for another year at least :(

has the seal cracked at all? i use a small amount of the silicone lubricant (it comes free with Arai visors, not sure about Shoei) and rub it on around the seal to keep it supple. only a tiny amount, and especially after iv taken a soaking on the bike!
A Shoei technician would be able to easily fix all the above problems from what I've seen of them working at bike shows.
Contact them & find out where you can find one.
