What's the craic?
I have a fully faired 06 sv650s but the fairing isn't held on with proper brackets. Because of this the entire fairing isn't lined up properly and the the paint is wearing away. Where would I be able to get these?
The brackets I need are the ones the go onto the radiator.
Cheers
Obvious place would be to try a Suzuki dealer.
Different years have different sized radiators. The fairing on my K4 mounts straight onto the actual rad. I guess you've got a later model that needs a bracket that spaces out an inch or so between the rad and the fairing?
If so I would personally use a combination of a bit of pipe, some washers and a longer bolt.
Have you got the big elbow shaped brackets with the large round washer attachements (where the crash bungs would go)?

Cheers, I tried a Suzuki dealer but they didn't have any. I had noticed the fairings were off but didn't know why until I saw a newer sv at the dealers.
I was thinking about something similar to what you suggested but didn't know how long it should be. A bit of trial and error I guess.
I don't have the bigger brackets either but I'm planning to put bungs on it anyway.

Hey pill.. There is a bike shop local to me(southern indiana) that you can order then from.. I had to get some new ones when I slammed my 06SV650s into the back of a truck! Google S&S Powersports in Clarksville, Indiana. You can get their shop number, give them a call, let them know what you need, they will pull it up and order it.. If you can't get them let me know I have no problem getting them for ya and shipping them to you free of charge. Just promise not to loose them or bust them up!

Phil - are you after the bracket depicted (badly) below?
I can't find them on any of the on-line fiches (Alpha Sports or the place in Indiana)...if you find one somewhere....please let me know 'cos I need one too!

Apparently you have to buy the whole 'accessory kit' from Suzuki, although I have also been told that you'd have to buy the complete fairing. Either way it sounds expensive, what we need is a good old .orger to post some pics and dimensions off theirs and we can make some up!

I used two bits or metal from B&Q, about 6 inches long, 3/4 inch wide. Bend into U shape, two holes, voila! 50 pence, job done.
No pics but the dimensions for a 2005 radiator are:-
width on all legs = 20mm
short leg of 'U' (radiator side) = 24mm
base of 'U' = 31mm
long leg of 'U' (fairing side) = 31mm
centre of drill holes = 10mm down from top edge of each leg of 'U'
and I think from memory they fit to lower radiator mount?
hope this helps...

Thats it exactly.
PS both hole centres are 10mm from top edge.

Fantastic! Thanks fubber, I have some strip ally left over from making brackets for my air horn, so I'll fashion some fairing mounting brackets tonight.
Thanks again!
