Does someone know how power was blocked in sv with these yers of production ?? During dissection I did not notice any , orifice, blockades of throttle itd. Vavle piston are good, without any hole. Any ideas ??
My english sucks, sorry for that :(

Are you only getting 8000 revs?

Yes, i dont know what is the problem :(
Have you tried checking if the foam under the tank has got loose? Happened to me, bike wouldn't go past 8.5krmp as it was being sucked into the airbox. Removed the foam and all was well again.

Looks like there's a finger wedged in there!
Full of useful advice as always ;)

It's my finger ;) Neeja could you write something more about your problem ??
Witam :)
I take it your throttle lines are not blocked by anything? Can you roll the throttle grip fully open? I'm asking because I've blocked the wheel thingy on your 6th pic, when playing with mine.
Other than that... You've got both cylinders running? Check for the foamy stuff and I'm pretty sure 33 bhp restricted ones rev to the max.... :/
Someone will be here with more ideas pretty quick.
Did something happen suddenly or did you buy it like this?
Oh, and if you plan to stick around I suggest you get used to this kind of comments ;)
Cheers

No, throttle lines are no blocked i can roll the throttle grip full, I bought it like this, tomorrow I will check the foam under my tank :)
ok, I've never dabbled with restrictors, how does this work with a curvy??
I've read on here about washers in carbs, is there a second way?

I think it's mainly the washers on the sv and you would be able to see them after removing the carbs. Don't know this for certain tho.

Not on a curvey as it doesnt have an ECU.

Your bike has a CDI in it as opposed to an ECU

Restricted bikes will still hit the rev limiter, certainly in gears 1-3 at least, it'll just start losing power above 8k rpm.

ignore the ignorance but whats the difference?
So it's not restricted... but won't rev past 8krpm :smt017:confused:
Can't help you by I do hope you get it sorted mate.

It's certainly not restricted with washers, but that wouldn't make a difference as it'd still hit the rev limiter if were

I had a similar issue with my curvy not wanting to rev, it was a fuel starvation problem. I drained and cleaned my fuel tank and checked that nothing was blocking the fuel inlet/strainer.
I also did the quick, carby cleanout which involves running the bike at medium revs and blocking the inlet in the air box with your hand. This will suffocate the engine and stall. The point is the engine won't be able to suck any air so instead will pull fuel through the jets and (hopefully) clear any partial blockages (sludge and fine dirt). You'll get a hand covered in fuel but when you restart it should run better. Repeat this a couple of times to make sure.

Have you looked at the choke cables and choke plungers on the carbs. These often stick, and leave the choke in the on position which makes the engine run very rich. This will stop it reving out freely.
