Yes, I did. Took me a couple of minutes.

Looking at your riddle, the lowest number should be the second number. I guessed a 1 would be there, it gave me a starting point to work out all the other numbers using your clues.

Which triangle has a bigger area: 1. A triangle with sides measuring 300, 400, and 500. 2. A triangle with sides measuring 300, 400, and 700.

He cant - you state there is no way out.

Unless the description is missing something - the obvious one would be that if there was no door, then walk out through the empty doorway.

But as you state no way out then he cant.

You haven't stated how high the walls are and there's no mention of a ceiling. So there's no ceiling, the walls are low and the stick is a pogo stick, then he could bounce over the walls to get out.

I haven't googled (yet) to see if that's the right answer.

never seen that before and I got it in about 30 seconds. Read it once, realised the numbers can only go up to 9 so the first 2 are likly to be 1 or 2, as 'D' meens that the first number can only be 1 or 2, and 'C' tells you that following that logic, the second number has to be 1 to make the first 2. then its just basic maths. Easy if you think about it. :smt025

Always liked this one.
The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "
The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930's
