Part time in a RC model shop

Part time in a orchestral precusion workshop

Start electrical apprenticeship with BAE systems in sept - but am not sure if i should ditch it for a mechanical apprenticeship with Delphi (aka Lucas??) whcih i have also been offered. My interest lies with mechanical but my head is telling me electrical with bae. :)

go electrical with BAE as you'll do mechanical work too. 1st year Apprenticeship is apprentice school anyway and then out just get interested in Electric Motors which are mechanical by strip down and repair nature anyway. Plus BAE are a good firm and pay good money. I think Getting2Dizzy works for them too. Get ready to sign your "i will not give terrorists information" waver too. Go electrical it's worth it in the long run.

I iz a spanna monki ina bike shop... init! :geek:

Actually, I am a qualified teacher, but fixing mountain bikes is a whole lot less stressful and the people I deal with are generally polite, clean smelling and do not call me nasty names.

I am the photographer, groupie, roady and tea maker for my girlfriend's band Oestrogenix. :smt041 :notworthy: :smt035

I also take people climbing and try not to drop them off of cliffs, which has just got harder since I retired my ropes and need to buy new ones. :-s :-dd

There is quite a good reason why I am not in the band. Firstly, I can't play any instrument and I have tried, but I do not have a musical bone in my body. Secondly I can sing, but only songs by Slayer or Deicide...:smt088 Which the girls do not really think of as singing. :-dd

Tap Oestrogenix into Google, YouTube or face book and you should find the lovely lasses, just don't expect any Slayer covers, I keep asking, but they keep saying NO! :smt077

They are booked for a couple of Pride events and Sparkle this year, which should be wonderful. Since I started Eskrima lessons, I have also been told that I am now also security. So anyone starts, I just hit them with my Kali stick!:smt075

Not been remotely involved in either of those jobs and doubt I will be as most of my work is done years before anything happens on the ground so to speak. :)

My ex-girlfriend was a development engineer with Delphi at Rochester, working on diesel injection systems. She's got a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and was head-hunted to go and work in Perth, Australia fora firm called Orbital.

They made her redundant after a year, which greatly peed me off cos we split up purely so she could go and work there, and now she's decided to stay and find another job in Oz.
