Lower the tone? Moi? The highest level i know is the gutter :)
Online too... in a Microsoft chat line. She lived in Racine near Chicago and I in London. Invited her over for a trip in Europe all paid by me. What was meant to be a bit of fun got a lil more serious and we have been married 9 years now :)

Pub. Weekly bike club meet twenty years ago. A ravishing young lady showed up on her GN250 one week and we got chatting. Then my GSX250 broke down on my way to our first date a few weeks later... Luckily she came over to mine instead!
Our 15th wedding anniversary was last week.

Out in town with some mates.
She was the mate of one of my mates mates.
I nearly blew it all though by saying to my mate "I bet she's a right go-er"
Being drunk I thought I was whispering... apparently not. But I can't remember it

I had a GSX250 for my first bike!
I met my fella at a bike rally. I'd seen him the year before a time or 2 and fancied him rotten then and fate brought us together at a rally we both ended up going to at the last minute :D That was over 15 years ago, and we'll have been married for 4 years this november :D

I met my OH on another bike forum, we'd both been members on there for about three years (I think) we'd spoken in passing, never seemed to be at the same forum meets, it wasn't until I'd split from my (very) abusive ex that we got talking properly, we used to spend seven/eight hours on the phone to each other (I was on a PAYT phone to begin with....That soon changed to a contract phone!!!)
I moved back to Yorkshire, he came to see me the night before we were both at a forum party and we've been together ever since, it's not a long relationship compared to some but we've now been together for 18 months, I live in Northants now and we're about to move into our second home together which is closer to my work (work in Herts, new house in Beds!)

I'm single again and have been for over a year now so i dont kow if i'm welcome in this love fest between peoples thread or not but here goes...
I met my right hand at an early age, we've been together ever since. The blisters on my palm are proof we still have an active sex life after all these years.
Does that count?
I've seen them out together at soho. lovely couple, but i wish he'd not have public displays of affection so often

Nah tried that for the last year in real life and it aint worked yet so i cant see it working in here seeing as most of the lady types in here are already loved up and happy.
Maybe i need to start a "who's single and dont wanna be thread" but i fear it'll turn into a sausage fest and scare all the potential ladies away.
And anyway a nice person i know off here said to me once "I did fancy you when i first met you...then your personality kicked in and killed it all for me", nice eh?

Aw, Spidey! Why not start the thread. You're a Mod so can keep it clean and on track. There's nothing wrong with wanting someone special in your life anyway!

We discussed this before a few times and decided that the Org was not a dating site so thread of that ilk are frowned upon.
Anyways i'm sure most of the lovely ladies of the Org know enough about me by now.

i was at a fancy dress party, haloween, i was dressed as a wizard- this was pre harry potter, always been ahead of my time me - she was dressed as a devil. so i snogged her mate who was dressed as catwoman! well, i liked her (devil woman) but she was seeing somebody and i went along as a single man so figured she's off limits. she sacked her boyfriend a few days after that (im guessing after she saw me she figured she'd not get better so sh!t or bust), i called her up and the rest is l'histoirre or however the french say it
true story that. gotta be true, its boring.

Considering some of the drivel that's posted on this site I'd have thought that a Lonely Hearts thread, stingently moderated, would actually be worthwhile.

Where is your sense of adventure man!?
There is a young, good sense of humour girl waiting for Mr. Right, or at least Mr. Right now, up in Scotland. Now hop on your bike, point your nose north & ride!
You may have a lot of trouble finding a lady with that as her surname.
I've been lead to believe that once something called 'marriage' happens no matter what surname they had before, they change it to Mrs. Right. This might be somewhat one-sided, but judging by the amount & topic of talks I have with some friends I believe I might be onto something here.

Doesnt marriage also mean that what ever you do may be seen as illegal any way and you get punished for it?

I met my other half at my house. He'd been invited up as a guest for the afternoon, by my sons future godfather. Think we were having a BBQ or something.
Anyway, he turned up outside, he'd been informed that we had really crappy neighbours, so decided to introduce himself by doing a burnout on the pavement on his baby blade:smt043:smt075Much to his cheekiness we did actually hit it off as friends. I was pregnant when he first appeared in my life.
We'd been best friends for two years before my relationship with my ex crumbled to nothing. All of our friends say it took us long enough to get together as we really are a perfect match, even though I hate him and he hates me.....its true love:smt054
We've been together for five years now, it took four of those to get him to move in!! I would love to push him off a cliff at times, but others it obvious why i love him. We've had some extremely rough times, a hip op, a degree, a cancer scare, an off or two. .we're still here for some reason:D
...

Ask Dirtydog 'bout that... he'd done it successfully!

not not greedy, its just good planning. if it were 2 men or 2 girls it would be, but one of each is just smart :smt040
MBK was my wife first anyway, so she wins

I think I have found the answer to these lyrics now,

"Why when there're so many of us, Are there people still alone"

I met her through work, I was the young agency driver, fresh from clearing out a septic tank at a Heron garage near Ness gardens in the Wirral, she was the raven haired, tempestous, depot administrator at a waste disposal company in Widnes, are eyes met over a desktop strewn with waste disposal paperwork and half eaten egg and mayonaise butties, she persued me for some time and I finally gave in, luck girl.

what a romantic dinner date, I can almost imagine the scene. e a few polystyrene cups in there too for good measure:wink:
I pinched her off my ex mate lol.
There were quite a few of us camping out one night at welcome bay and he got in a strop over something and went home, so I spent the night in their tent with her lol, been together about 8 months now.

My housemate (her friend) was having her birthday party and invited the future Mrs Metal and another single friend of hers hoping to match them up. Well, the other single friend looked a bit like Barney Rubble and Mrs Metal took a shine to me as soon as she saw me.
Seven years later and the rest is history!
