Nice one Dave :thumright: ....
I am sure that You & Mandy will love the VFR ...
It's so much more suited to all the long distance trips you do ...
When I was watching You struggling to get all your soft panniers .. tank bag , tent etc. safely on your Gixxer at Porlock last weekend I think I said to you at the time I thought it would be the last time that I would see you with that bike !!
I am really pleased that You have made the change & in a few weeks it WILL have grown on you and You will not look back !
I don't think some peeps on the forum realise the amount of miles that You & Mand cover each year supporting regional rideouts etc.
All the best Mate ... enjoy :riding:
all true.. and I DO rememebr you sayin it would be the last time you see me on it..

ta for all comments.
wont pick up on individual ones but I appreciate them all.
done 655 miles over the weekend on it.. no aches and pains and the chicken strips are smaller now.. those were left on by previous owner.. they wont get a lot smaller.. I aint bovveerreedd ... not one to wave me willy..
in essence I love it.. really love it..
yea tis a bit "not as exciting" as the gixxe butI have to accept I didnt ride the gixxer properly anyway and Ibeen there now- had one.. and got to consider Mandy .
we really do cover some miles. nearly 7000 last year .. so comfort and practicality have to be paramount .
it ate the miles today on way home ..
southampton to yeovil,, yeovil to Crewe.. 300 mile trip piece of cake. and 200 of that on one tank !.. ha .. ace.
na is anice bike, steady and sensible, but it sure does shift when it needs to.. for me, at this juncture- its perfect..
and.. if I could have got a white one with 1300 miles on on a 56 plate Phil I would have.. ! colour not bad, not my first choice if I had the choice but its growin on me and yea luckily it matches my leathers .. so not bad at all.

quiff, this is a really encouraging thread to read. 200miles in one tank! How much petrol did you use exactly?
I've been doing sums,I can afford one and if i get one now with the freeeluggage deal then i stand to save quite aq bit (£950!!!). The white ones are a bit more expensive so I might get a red one
I'm off to dobles on saturday to have a test ride

Matt the most I have got is 220 miles from a tank, put in just under 20 litres so she gave about 50mpg on that run. The tank is 21 litres so good range is another big plus on the bike.
Normal A/B-road riding mpg for me is mid forties, down to mid thirties if going bok with the VTEC :D
Quiff, you buy them Staintunes off EBAY yet? Maybe this wil help make up your mind..
