+1 but maybe don't show your mum the 'keys in a bowl' posts, no need to make her more worried!

Ok guys, you ain't gonna like this but I will have to back out.
My mum has recently lost her mum and is not dealing with it brilliantly. She has a sister who is being a total cow to her and my brother, yet again, lifted his hand to her this evening.
She is really upset about me leaving, even for a few days and as much as I love you guys, I need to be here for her. I was really excited about the idea about an hour ago and know my mum has told me how much she doesn't want me to go, I don't think I can.
If any of you ever get to know me, this is a trait you will probably both love and find fraustrating at the same time. I have a need to please people and tend to put other people before myself.
I want to thank each and everyone who has contributed to this idea, Lozzo, Timwilky, jamesmio, GG, DP, Fizz, everyone. Please don't think I am making excuses, there are valid reasons I cannot make it this time.
Sorry, and thanks again guys. xxxxx

Not a problem at all and hey......just do it another time when you can stay longer and have more time to plan things.
Good example of what a fab family the org is though.
Nic....love ya chick xxx

Sorry to hear that Nic, but anytime you're heading down south & want a riding buddy give us a shout.
Hope the family issues get better soon.

Having left work at about 4.30pm(ish) and got home about an hour ago, via 3 bars and the curry house, I was all for posting up - "YES" stop at my house just outside Darlington, ideal for the Yorkshire Dales & Moors as well as the Scottish borders.
Now that I've had a cup of tea and the mists of alcohol slowly drift away, :drink:the thoughts of explaining to the wife (who has just started on a series of night shifts), why, when she comes in of a morning, there is a strange, and as I'm led to believe, rather pleasing on the eye female in the spare bed............................................... .................................................. .................................................. .............
On second thoughts I'll just leave that there before the nightmare becomes the reality. By strange I in no way mean that the said young lady is in any way "odd", only that strange is meant as in stranger..........................

Ah.....grh....I'm guessing you haven't chatted to Nic much then? She really is quite odd. It's all good, she's odd in a fab way and all that...lol.
Ok, I'm just heading for a kicking from the Milky Bar Kid now, hehe!!! :smt067

There's nowt as queer as folk.
I'm ALWAYS happy to entertain ANY Scottish, blonde, biker, law-keeping lady who-would-otherwise-be-sunning-herself-topless-on-an-Ibizan-beach-whilst-drinking-alco-pops-til-dawn-in-a-beachside-club-while-enjoying-the-delights-of-Judge-Jules-on-the-decks. :D
Damnit, too late... :(

I still like the idea of this thread, it's like couch surfing but you'll know something vaguely about the host and if you select wiseley are probably very less likely to get chopped up & put in a skip.
I'm proud of the idea I came up with and hope someone takes it up and has a damn good time visiting people from the org all over the UK. I'm going to name the whole concept "Going Nomad"
