Not having anything useful to say has never stopped me posting;) It's more about getting involved, both on here and out on the road.
I'd rather not get involved with you lot;)

I don't post that much and when i do it is usually after advice and the help i get is second to none from you guys :D
To the guys who have not been on any of the ride-outs yet, you don't know what you are missing. The people you meet are great, the banter is out of this world and the rides are great. Not being the best rider in the world i was very nervous going on my first ride out, but no-one pushes you and if you just ride to your own ability you will love it and learn a hell of a lot from the more experienced people on here.
I mainly stick to the PM section for the ride-outs but i am getting braver and did the peaks revenge (i think that's what it was called), where i meet Pete and Lisa and a few others and they made me feel so welcome.
So to the guys, who like me, come on here and read a lot and don't post much, all i can say is get yourself on a ride-out and you wont look back.
PS Booked my first track day for the 19 November Cadwell Park :?
I lurk a lot, mostly because i feel that i have nothing to contribute or whatever i say has been said already...
... or its just because im bone idle :D

Post now :)
I've got the flu. Not swine flu, not a bad cold, but the flu. And I've got a 200mile drive to get home on Saturday. Anyone feel sorry for me yet?

Come on lurkers and non posters, this is your chance! Lissa has made a great thread here, itd be rude not to honour her effort by at least saying "hi" or even "ditto" as someone said earlier, which was very funny i though.
I guess I lurk around Idle Banter...

Just had a disagreement with he who must be obeyed!!!
Looking for another helmet as my other one is not that great. Just found one being sold on ebay from someone who lives about 5 minutes away. It is advertised as being New. Mentioned it to him and he automatically assumes it has been dropped and says I put too much faith in ebay.
WTF??? From a guy who just spent £3,600 buying his second hand GSXR 1000. I'm not that bothered about the helmet, I just dont know why I deserved such a comment regarding ebay. Farking fuming ....

Ask the seller, ask them to guarantee it's not bee abused, dropped, ****ted, down the road etc. when I list 2nd hand lids I usually explain this (wouldn't sell a damaged one) and write a disclaimer.
Any amount of money is justifiable on a bike :)

I don't post often. Not in the best of moods today. I'm royally fed up because some slimy d1ckwad has defrauded my bank account. Until the investigation is done I'm £497 out of pocket. Really, really fed up and skint. When I noticed something wrong in my account they said a transaction was pending, I said to stop it because I hadn't made it. They told me it had been stopped but it still went through. Barstewards.
Someone please cheer me up.

OK Amanda,.... i had nearly £2K taken out my account a couple of years ago at xmas time.
i argued with the bank and xplained how broke it had left me and they put the money back almost right away.
Do the same and hopefully they will look after you, especially if its something obvious to prove like you card is being used abroad and you are still here and have you card etc.
Good luck.

Cheers Spiderman, that's a big help. I still have my card (cancelled now though!) and hadn't even used it for a couple of weeks before this fraud. It was a money transfer done online and they used a phone number for a car dealership so I'm hoping they sort it quickly. Can't believe they didn't query it though. I'm just so angry about it because I'm so careful using my card. :smt076

Yeh mine was done by telephone banking and transfered to an account that the girl on the phone said was "clearly fraudulent" as all it had was transfers from lots of accounts going into it and cash withdrawals going out.
The fact that i'd never once transferred funds from that account to any other helped my case. Just keep pressuring them.
They tried to say it was my own fault as only i knew my telephone banking security questions so only i could have given that info away. So be prepared for them to attempt to put the blame on you in some way, its standard practice sadly.
But keep saying its also their responsibility to keep your account secure from fraud and they have clearly failed so you need the money put back asap, tell them you wont be able to pay the rent/mortgage if it aint back soon.
Is paying my brother to wash my bike for me tomorrow :smt023

Cheers again Spidey. There's no such thing as an honest/decent bank it seems. I kept on at them in the bank and on the phone, asking how they could let something like that happen and they were very apologetic - doesn't credit my account though does it? I'll keep nagging and I've got a letter ready to send, listing their failures ;)
