Hi,
Is copper grease ok to use bearings in the bottom yoke?

Copper grease is for high temperature applications, probably better to use normal Lithium Grease if you have it?

Will they both do the same job?

Possibly, copper grease is intended as an anti-seize though
Any auto shop will stock Lithium Grease in a big tub, go get the right stuff
copper greese will distroy your bearings as your bearing also have copper in them.
copper greese is not a lubricant, it's an anti seize compound and will self sacrifice itself when two allos are together, as in Alloy from the frame and steel from the race of the bearings and rollers.
get some proper grease.
I'd not use it for bearings.
I'd only use copper grease on the back of brake pads to stop brake disc dust squeel, on axels threads or exhaust bolt dowles.
hth's
I wouldn't use copper grease on a bearing.
Struggling to think why though.
Possibly because it's an anti seize sort of thing rather than a lubricant. :-s
Edit: Woah - too slow!

Whats all this about lubrication:-s--------I thought that was the £20 note you kept with your driving license;)
No don't use it for bearings----a common misapprehension
copper grease is a anti seize and should not be used on parts that move it acts like a grinding paste because of whats in it . use lithium grease or equivalent.

like this would be the best bet, £1.67 per cartridge, I've got some from work and it's good stuff.

Copper grease is an abbrasive, 2 metal surfaces rubbing together will wear away with copper slip, rather than have no friction of normal grease. Hope this helps. If you get copper slip on your finger and rub it you can feel the abbrasiveness, lithium or moly grease is slippy, hence no friction
