I think its great.....best selling game of all time, being had at a decent price for gamers during these hard times (plus Activision still gets their profit as the wholesale price will be no different), so no adverse effect to the industry.

Can't wait for my copy later.....but seriosuly worried I may come home, play, go straight to work with no sleep!!!! :-)

Yeah, it is great. If you think that Sega Megadrive games 18 years ago were selling for £40-50 a game, then £25 in the current financial climate is excellent. I'm sure it'll be a peach online, even if the single player is a bit short.

I'm not one to buy a load of games preferring to stick to 2 or 3 so this and FIFA will provide my gaming excitement for months to come :D

yeah i have 2 days off, yeah i will be there for 7 as they open as they only have 70 copies in the teeside branch, failing that will go to asda or to game as planned, got a physio apt at 8:30 so want to get it sorted before then

The Badgeress went to work tonight in Tescos and she text me to say that the price is staying the same . I reckon Tescos are waiting for everyone else to sell out in a rush in the morning and to clean up in the afternoon/weekend frenzy to find a copy of this game at the cheapest price . Then again I have seen where games were so hyped that people were panicking and streamed to the shops to find , literally , thousands of copies .

My mate brought his copy of the game round tonight with his night vision goggles, goggels are better than expected.
There are two modes, one with no lights on the unit, but reduced distance / detail, other has a ring of small infa red lights on front which enhance the image a fair bit.
Went out in my garden tonight, they worked well, quite impressed.
Game is awesome, maps look cool with loads of hidden corners, hidey holes.
Couldnt get online, wouldnt connect to any games.
Played him at split screen deathmatch, destroyed him :D

Activision had a problem with Piracy and as a reviewer of 360 software I have had to have my name placed on a list , this is so that my gamertag and Live account do not get banned if I am given a preview of any game before the date of release . They are cracking down on anyone that is playing the game early (up to a week before due shipping time) . They will keep the servers switched off until the official time of Kick off if you like . Even with server availability I can see this being over subscribed the same way that it was with Modern Warfare a couple of Christmases ago .

oh well, a wee trip to the local asda, there was a ridiculous queue for the game, was told by staff that there had been people waiting since 10pm. they had 150ish copies over both formats (xbox and ps3). the queue was the longer than the length of the full aisle of a superstore. so decided to try next door at tesco, very little queue but charging £40 for it unless you buy another top title game.

so decided it was best just to ask my mum to get someone at her work (morrisons) to get a copy put aside for me early doors, plus she'll get a staff discount on top too!! good times.

Asda is still charging £32, drew would have posted however since we got back 25 mins ago all i have got is noices from him.

Started queing at 9pm at our local asda and him and my brother in law where first there very quickly followed by a couple others.

they had 300ish copies around 150 of each format and 40 pre-orders, only allowing one per customer, but there where still more people than copies easy! Anyway enjoy all once you get yours, I'm sure I will not see my husband for a few days at least!

It was 35 in gamestation when i was down a couple of hours ago barwel. i paid nothing, traded in MW1 and got £20 quid for that and traded in ODST (which I didnt like much) and got 20 quid for that and then with the GHII that I found at the bottom of a pile today that got me it for nothing and because im friendly with a few of the guys in my local store I was taken to the front of the que hen I got there at 11:45 and it was a que out of the door. The games brilliant though, I havent played the online im saving that for tommorow but the campaign is awesome :D especially the level in the airport...

Myself and a couple of friends went to Asda, out of curiousity more than anything else to find a 300 odd long queue. I came along for the trip really, only ever midnight release i've been too...

One chap jumped and whooped as he left the store. Spoke to him later, said he'd been there since 8.30. :o

It looks a pretty amazing game after only a couple of hours playing, anyway. Hope everyone enjoys it when they get their copies. :)

Went to Makro with Nik for 7am. About 40 queuing in front of me and about 30 behind when the doors opened. Waited until I got to the front of the queue only to be told one copy per card and not per customer. Disappeared to Morrisons in the vain hope they would be discounting. Walked up to the store at 7.55, was in the front of the queue and managed to get 2 copies for £25.99 each. Bonus! Not started playing yet -off for a shower and then I'll be on!

Anyone know if this is gonne be available on the Wii? Dont laugh. Flatmate has a PS3 so i bought the Wii so we had the choice of each. Its just that he's a moany git at times and even tho he hardly ever plays his PS3 he dont like me playing it much either :roll:

COD world at war on the wii is ok, its difficult to play with the virtual gun but its no way as near as good as the ps3 or x box versions, the warfare 2 game should be as good if not better than WAR.
