The bombs have to fall on people in order to kill them. You only get the blips showing them on the map if there's a UAV active or if they're firing unsuppressed weapons. I'm not sure if it's the same with Harriers but with the Stealth Bomber you also choose the direction it'll fly in.
So yeah, be patient and wait for a UAV or until there's a lot of shooting so you can be sure it'll hit people who are out in the open.
The Harrier that stays behind is a very tempting (and easy, one Stinger) target to shoot down.
Don't they hovver about shooting people with a machine gun? They do when I get killed by them?

well i have COD for the Xbox360 and the PC like i said and imo I feel more in the game when playing on the PC ,
FPS's are ment for PC , any one that thinks diffrent iether cant play them or have never had chance to or got a PC good enuf to play them.
I started with FPSes on the PC when it was Wolfenstein, and then Doom, through to Half-Life and Unreal Tournament. My first modern console FPS was either Half-Life on the PS2 or Halo, and I fumbled around hopelessly until I got used to twin stick controls.
They aren't 'meant' for any particular platform. Goldeneye did an FPS on a console very very well, the controls were spot on. Having to stop to take proper aim was a great change from the ridiculous twitch-shooting of PC FPSes. At the same time, something really fast like Quake 3 doesn't really work on a console because it's so fast.
To be honest, I prefer console FPSes now as the PC ones I find are now ridiculously fast with tiny targets for you to shoot at, purely to make a show of how fast you can be with a mouse.

A wing of Harriers flies over and drops a bunch of bombs where you indicated. The last one stays behind and hovers over the battlefield, shooting with its gun.

No problem, some of them do take some figuring out and the instruction manual is thinner than some 'reference cards' like you used to get with PC games!
I keep calling in Care Packages on Underpass and forget I'm standing under the underpass.

Only ever got 2 11 kill streaks and I still haven't got to grips with the AC130. I fire things and its takes ages to get to them by which time they have ran off. Well annoying. And it seems like its doesn't last very long at all...but when its the enemy its there for ages!!

Only got one which I managed to get from a car package, however in the special ops bit, when you press triangle it cycles through the different guns. One is a missile, one is some huge calibur rifle and the other is a normal machine gun.
I find the second one works best as it has a high-ish fire rate and is still very powerful.

You can practice the AC130 in the spec ops missions (because unlike CoD4 it doesn't appear in single player) to get used to the delay firing the 105mm gun. Personally I fire a shot from that and then immediately switch to the fast firing 40mm cannon to get more shots off (you can pepper an area with it). I almost never use the chaingun.

Like I said, I've only done it once. They all produce the same thing dont they :D

lol i have my mouse on the slowest i can for games mind you dont rely gun and run but did you know the console versions have a slight auto aim ;) and on a 26inch about a foot away from you it does feel like ure in the game
PS i use a 360 controller for racing games on the PC and like it alot so hindle you may want to get ure self one that works with the pc

Do you just need a wired one ? usb in ? or what ?

I've seen COD MW2 now, and im still not really impressed

TBH on the consoles it looks no diffrent from the Last 2, in terms of Graphics, IMO.
But on the PC there is a big diffrence from the last one and the one before,
It looks truly amazing on PC if you have got a decent rig and a full 24"+ 1920x1080 monitor.
I wasnt that impressed with it on the xbox i have only played it for a few hours on that glad i didnt pay for the game lol .

ill have a look into it mate if there are drivers/software to use a xbox pad i will find them but to be honest, i tend to use the xbox360/PS3 for football and car games ect ect and just going to stick to the PC for FPS games otherwise my xbox's and ps3's will just gather dust lol.
N plus my xbox's are flashed so i have got an endless supply of games.
and im better than alpinestarhero on Trials HD ;)
Yeah there are drivers that allow you to use XBOX360 controller on your PC. You can download them for free from the microsoft website. You can either use a standard wired controller or you can use a wireless controller with the officiall XBOX360 wireless reciever for windows.

If you have XP, Vista or 7 and the game is one of them "Games for windows" ones then the x-box controller should just work.

Sorry for slight derail but Im off to the states on monday and was wondring if games bought out there will work on a UK Xbox ? I know they use NSTC and we PAL but Im not sure how that affects games, any ideas ?

It all depends on if the game is region locked stewie, if you have the internet ion your phone remember the site http://www.play-asia.com/ they have a compatibility list on most games, so search for the one your looking at and it'll tell you if the american one will work with a uk xbox or not.
