Well following my slight off I have been switching between thoughts of putting the bike back to standard and just riding it/sell it for something cheaper to break, or replacing broken bits with better bits and keep abusing it.

Seeing as so many bits are broken or damaged the reality is that I would struggle to sell it so have gone for option 3.

So, some of the damage...

It travelled that far on the R&G that there is pretty much nothing left of it but it did its jobs fairly well.

At a glance the damage didnt look to bad, and to be fair all I really need to get it back on the road is some new rear sets, the list of things actually damaged is fairly extensive though.

Screen - I have the standard one
upper headlight fairing - Track fairing I have road ones
left side fairing - Track fairing I have road ones
tank cover - Track fairing I have road ones
rear seat cowl - Track fairing I have road ones
Left foot rest and hanger and gear changer - Bought some GBmoto rear sets
Left pillion peg broke - Now removed
clutch lever - usable but will need replacing
tail tidy mashed - need a new one from somewhere
Several bent fairing brackets - these are expensive on ebay so will try to manipulate them lol
2 new mirrors needed - I have bought 2 right hand mirrors off ebay  great
Indicators are all abit mashed - usable but need replacing
Bent exhaust - Usable just looks a bit ghey
New Bar End - Will find one on ebay at some point, hopefully the clip on is ok.
Helmet fairly damged - Grrr £200+ lol

The two big ones are

swing arm is damaged - Unfixable hence now unsellable
Rear subframe twisted slightly - Expensive to replace but usable in current state

I dont really have any intention of replacing damaged parts that are still usable as that would mean spending a small fortune hence I cant sell it.

Current progress = Bike completely stripped and cleaned and now does not look so bad.

There's not a lot wrong with it (see bent banana thread  )
The tail tidy looked like it'd be possible to straighten out on the day. If you take the rear subby off you could see if you can straighten that out a bit.

What's the damage to the swing arm? Can't quite make it out is it just a bit of abrasion?

Tis true, theres nothing major, just lots of little things that are scrapped/daamaged but dont NEED to be replaced.

If I wanted it to be spotless again I would have to spend a fair bit of money.

Been lucky really, I had been putting off stipping it down for fear of what I would find. Biggest pains were getting the bung off as the socket end had worn away and a few nuts had ground away too.

Yeah just scrapped, cotton reel thing has been ground away...not major but would stop anyone buying it as mint never been dropped, sing arms are £250 on ebay and I'm not spend that to no doubt drop it again.

you had a cottonreel in?! could have been in a worse state then. have you removed the reel or has it been ground into nothingness?:p

I Reckon with a bit of skill someone might be able to polish that up so it looks a lot better.

I do think you've been lucky (apart from the actual crashing)

Its a CBR just a very naked cbr lol down to its skeleton

Task for tomorrow is remove the exhaust and rear subframe for a closer look :(... getting the exhaust off is a pain in the **** :( getting it back on is even worse :rambo:

The floor is normally empty except the lawn mower and my bike lol the rest goes on the shelfs.

My girlfriend likes her car to be away... her new one comes on in the 2nd week in jan so I need to get it all back together by then lol

Sure it was red last time you fell off it! :-P

S'nowt major there, gaffer it all back together over winter and see what you can be bothered doing later!

Straightening subframes is a recipe for cartoon-style: "&$£% "%*$%&ing thing £$^%£$" as you slip and take the skin off your knuckles for the n'th time or try put the fairings back on and they don't line up!

I still have to take it off yet as I've been too busy. My girlfriends dad thinks it may just be the exhaust bracket that is bent as the fairings line up perfectly etc.

I'll have another go this weekend coming.
