Generally, yes. If you've got an iPhone, then no (blame O2, not Apple for that one)

Yes and no.
Typically such contracts are sold as "unlimited internet" where they actually should say "unlimited internet as long as you only access it from the phone" on the assumption that you won't actually be able to download that much.
It's called tethering and is actually blocked on some phones (see Iphone) but may work on yours, be careful though as while it may work it may not be 'allowed' and you may run up some horrific data bills.

na you have to pay for it on the iphone i think. unless you have it jailbreaked.
Im not a sheep and dont have an iphone. Ta anyway so far

im not a sheep either, just happend to snap my old phone in half, walk into the shop, play on and iphone, and buy it!
SE W995. It probably would, just wondering if anyone knew for definite that was all. I'll load up the drivers etc on my laptop tonight and run it and see if it turns up on my bill.
seems like you can, just not sure about the charge part.

I have an XDA Ignito on O2 and it works perfectly as a modem. When my home router bit the dust last year, I used it for 3 days and nothing appeared on my bill.

I got one of those, had it about 10 months and had to fire my old samsung as its fubar.
Im a builder and its too harsh an environment for it, scratched to f**k, stops responding, dont end calls when you press end so gotta be careful what you say about the person who just called.
