I have a k6 sv 650s and because of the law i needed the bike restriced. the bike gets to 7 grand of revs fine then it hesitates and stops pulling does any one else have this problem ? also i only get 126 miles to a full tank is this normal?

126 miles to a tank's not too bad.

Your obviously not trying hard enough ;)

That is how the restriction works, it cuts the revs down to 7k(ish), so nothing unusual there.

126miles to a tank seems a bit low to me, but depends on whether you are sat at 7k the whole time.

I never used to get more than about the 125 miles to a tank mark out of my unrestricted pointy.

Hmmm....restricted I was getting 150ish. Full power around 135ish.

You must have the diesel version then ;)

sounds like you've got the inferior restricted by washers instead of restricted by ECU

yeah it is, it has a throttle stop and two washers in the air box

Your fuel consumption's about the same as mine. On my restricted curvy I was getting like 90 miles if I was lucky. However, that said fuel consumption largely depends on how you ride it.
The pulling thing sounds normal enough, I usually hit about 7k get that annoying hesitation/suddenly pulled back feeling then it proceeds to pull a little bit more (not a lot). Doesn't stop dead though.

rev more in 3rd then higher in 4th and keep it going you should be able to get 100+ indicated on a track of course.

126miles my curvy is lucky to get 100 miles to the tank when i ride it, i hope it doesnt burn more fuel when it goes full power this weekend.

i have also noticed today that when i get to 7k and get the hesitation the warning lights comes on but goes off straight away. i dunno if this is just the engine fighting the restrictor .

...Never had any warning lights come on. Which light is it?

Twist the throttle. When it doesn't go any further, it's on the stop
