just wondering without the air snorkel and 16mm tank risers with a slip on can with no baffle and velocity stack would my bike run lean ? (standard air filter)

I'd just keep the snorkel you've got TBH.

well im sort of coming to that conclusion, just dont rely trust the US lot lol they all say its fine and all that but some people (mostly uk) say that it make the bike run lean and run hotter

If you do go for it I would say get the bike to a dyno run afterwards to check the air/fuel mixture and go from there...

i dont think the 1bhp (if that) is worth me spending £25 for a dyno run to see if its making the bike run lean
lol

well, if you are not running rich now, then adding more air and keeping the fuel the same will make it lean... it's the unbaffled pipe that will make the biggest difference, not so much the tank raise. mine (carby) would hardly run with race yosh and stock carbs...

going to dyno is a good suggestion, not for the 1hp, but so that you are not running lean... you're spending a lot more on the pipe, if you can actually get dyno tuning for £25, i say DO IT!

As said above, dyno will benifit you from not running too lean = too hot = stress on engine, not the 1bhp increase.

i'd go down the dyno route too.
On her <<<<< is a desnorkeled air filter and a can with no baffle option. For this to run correctly a dyno was performed and the main jets drilled out to correct sizing. If anything she runs a hairs on the rich side IIRC. Never lean.

Yes its a curvy, pointies are slightly different...but all the same if you are messing about with stuff similar, you need to know you have done it properly.

I just have to remember I can't run her with a full air filter now.

looks like if i want to take the bike further then i will be needing a power commander pc3
