Seriously? I don't have a favourite. All are great in their own way - all do different things so are best at what I ask of them.

I love your Versys and would really like one of those one day, I sat on one at Fowlers in Bristol and loved it immediately. Saw one around here recently in a really nice Orange colour, but with out the boxes sadly. :D
Thought i'd revive an old thread with a few pics of mine after it's winter make over, tail tidy, r&g crash bungs, pazzos, stainless bolts, seat cowl, leo exhaust, carbon hugger and carbon panels.......

It's a far better bike than it appears on paper and when you actually see one in the flesh. I'd never have thought 63bhp and fairly long travel suspension could be so much fun on a road bike, and it's extremely practical too.

Im considering selling my autocom, weve hardly used it tbh, the wife finds the speakers annoying.
Cost me approx £230 last year, probably used it 5 times.

Road knobblies FTW!

I've got a set of knobblies which I've never fitted, I don't wanna lose it's road manners cos it spends 70% of it's time on Tarmac.
I'm thinking of some adventure type tyres like the GS beemers have, ralph has some on his XT, they seem a good compromise.
I wanna stay legal as well, don't want to attract attention from the rozzas.

The Maxxis ones are actually fully road legal but proper knobblies too ;)
But on the road they're certainly not comfortable, and with you spending more time on tarmac i'd stick with the ones you have on!
I use mine more offroad than I do onroad as I have the SV so I just stick to knobblies.

I go green laning with ralph but have to ride a fair bit of Tarmac to get to them, plus I love throwing this around on the roads, it's ace :)

Well, down to the rim locks as well you end up shaking like your on an insane bull ride, but thats not until you get to 50 ish which my route is mainly 30 roads.
You can't flick it round corners easily either as they're pretty much fully blown knobblies.

Kitty, my stroppy Italian. So called because her footpeg claws and Leo Vince badge keep ripping my clothes and she likes to have a widdle of coolant like a Tom cat every now and again:rolleyes:
A marmite bike, you either like them or you don't! I find her beautiful, some find them ugly. Ugly they may be, but bloody hell they handle like a dream, fall into corners, and you can have some real fun on them....but not when they are cold as they bounce about under 80 degrees.(well some do)
TL1000S engine, gear changing as smooth as a babies bum:mrgreen: Shes also a bit thirsty...so a summer toy, and because the paint ain't so good, shes finished in the best water based stuff Suzuki/Cagiva could get their hands on.

What kind of project is that thing hanging from the roof? What engine will you put into to it? My guess it's some cool boardracer replica. Something like this onehttp://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2010models/2010-Phantom-EGa.jpg

My cd 175, don't be put off by the rust, this bike is an excellent runner and at 40 years old with 9000 miles for £300 is a bargain and a good project, it looks a little less rust now as its a had a bit of work done to it, I should take some new ones soon really

Always had a lot of respect for the CD175. It was a classic example of how much better the Jap item was than the Brit fore-runner. Great little tools.
I've got the CD200, mated to the 175 gear box for some unknown reason, however mine is in a lot worse state than your one. Dont think mine will ever be making it back to the road, only reason she stopped going round a field every day was a retard mate managed to strip the thread (engine side) for the spark plug. At some point I will get round to helicoiling it :)
