Of all of you that have fitted the suzuki comfit kit from 998cc,if you were a complete novice would you have found it easy. Are there instructions in the pack as it does not say.Looks like it is worth the money

**** easy. Can't remember if there are instructions, but if there aren't, you really don't need them.

as long as you can bleed brakes then there's nothing more to it realy other than a few bolts

What is involved with fitting longer cables and re-routing cables.

I found the throttle cables a bit fiddly tbh but apart from that ok.
No instructions came with mine either, dont know why?
Surely a 'kit' shoould provide some instructions of some sort.

Hi guys want to bump this thread,I took the bike to a mechanic today to fit the streetfighter kit,but he phoned saying the brake lines are too long has anyone else had this problem,or is the mechanic doing something wrong.Should I just use original cables.

Your originals wont work.

Unless they are stupidly long they should be ok, i have left my braided ones on and put my original clip on set up back on and they are ok.

I fitted the same kit to Speedy Claire's bike at the weekend and yes the supplied lines are a bit long, but not to long. I have them in a graceful curve and all looks good, they do not obscure or foul anything.

One thing to note is that the line to go to the left calliper is slightly longer than the one to the right, if he offered up the long one to the right calliper it would appear to be much to long. Just ask him if he is aware of that.

We can supply some guideline instructions and also a few links to websites with info on fitting these kits if anybody needs them ;)

Matt, it would be useful to have those thrown in the box with the rest of the bits. :D Although fitting is straight forward if you know one end of a spanner from the other, it is useful to to get a little guidance on cable routing etc as I had the top yoke off three times to get that right;)

Also a little data sheet with torque settings for the bolts would be useful. I based mine from the service book and am happy it will be ok, but this information should be available with the kit.

Just so you know I'm not moaning, but providing feedback () I am impressed with the quality of the kit, the accuracy of the fit and ease with which it went together.
