Yes, a Hank Scorpio moment.

I bought a bag of four bagels on Monday, had one Tuesday, one yesterday, went to make my lunch today and it's GONE.

Not been moved into another cupboard, it's just gone. Colleague tells me she bought a loaf of bread, had three slices, went back for some later and it was gone. Other colleague says his entire dinner (including the tupperware) vanished.

So:
a) food thief
b) cleaners, as our stupid tw*tting manager gave them instructions to dispose of any food past its date. Bagels only have a best before date a day or two after they're made, but they WILL STILL BE PERFECTLY EDIBLE for a few days past that date.

Whichever it is, I'm now stuck here for another two hours, starving to death and there are no shops or restaurants in a reasonable distance. :smt092

If it's a food thief, then make some sandwiches with the hottest chilli sauce you can buy and leave them where they can be stolen.

You should put in an official complain about your food being stolen.

My lunch already contains a health dose of Dave's Insanity. Pity the unsuspecting fool who would dare to nick my grub.

But then with only 3 of us sharing the fridge, we instantly know who has what

When the manager is back in I will be asking him if he is still instructing the cleaners to throw out food or not. Especially as he has forbidden us from putting food (even if it is just bread or uncooked pasta or other dry things) in our desk drawers.

We had that at our place. Stuck up a small camera (with warning signs) Fella still took others grub so got the sack for stealing.

Yeah I had an unmarked bottle of my 500,000 Scoville chilli sauce vanish from the fridge along with my lunch before.
Strangely enough one of the contractors then vanished for a week due to some kind of strange and very sudden illness :)

Bagel with pastrami and cheese, and a pack of salt n' shakes. A reasonable portion, and saves me a lot of money.

LOL an excellent point! I've decided on Hank Scorpio because:
a) I was angry and went out for revenge,
b) someone ate PART OF my lunch (the meat and cheese were still in the fridge)
c) I didn't catch the perpetrator in the act.
