Im thinking of knoacking something up to fix a second hand scottoiler i got off ebay to the s4.
Originally i would have gone with the axel washer type thingy. Unfortunatly i dont have one so im now thinking about splashing the cash on a dual injector as they look soo much neater. Unfortunatly i hear they dont work that well?
Soo any nice brackets youve seen for a scottoiler (or similar)?

Have you looked at the Scottoiler website, in the spares section, they have loads of different brackets and bits and pieces.
You don't need to make any brackets up at all, just drill a 5mm hole just behind the paddock stand bobbin lug and tap it to M6, then use a 8mm brake line P-clip to hold the pipe in place... like this

You can hold the pipe in place using a 6mm P-clip further up the swingarm... like this

These are shown on my Versys, but I did exactly the same on my SV650S K5 and it looked and worked great.
I'd avoid the dual-injector, they really aren't all they are cracked up to be and give problems.

thats what i was thinking lozzo.....
Is easy to do and leaves it all looking very neat. The P-clips grip the pipe enough so it won't move from where you set it bu don't restrict the flow.

Don't bother with the dual head. They are a waste of time. I had 3 and all went wrong. In the end scottoiler ended up refunding me part value of the oiler.

yea ive heard similar things. looks a bit strange relying on foam to distribute the oil...

The hole doesn't need tapping although it is a nice touch. If you haven't got the taps, just use a stainless self tapper. It is not uncommon to find them in the swingarm holding the chain guard and hose guides.

Trust me it doesn't work. I constantly ended up with one side feeding twice as fast as the other. Also when I parked up the nib would drain on the floor, and then become air locked and not work.
I went back to a single nib and I have never had an issue since.

I wouldn't even consider drilling the swing arm unless you are 10000% sure you know what you are doing otherwise the outcome will be an expensive one.

done the same to my K8 but used rivets instead of screws. never gave me a problem.

Look up and down any swingarm, there are drilled holes all over the place. one or two more at 5mm each won't make the blindest bit of difference as long as they are away from stress points, welds and a decent distance away from any other drillings.
I've been fixing Scottoiler pipes like this on a variety of bikes for the past ten years and never had a problem... but then I'm not a natural worrier about insignificant things.

i worry about anything and everything and can say that 2 holes such as that will not effect the swingarm performance on my bike.

if you are not confident about drilling the swingam then self adhesive cabletie mounts will do the same job. as long as you clean the surface properly and let them set before attaching the pipe then they will be fine.

What Lozzo said.
if your going to use the cable tie mounts then remove the sticky pads and fix with liquid metal or epoxy. the sticky pads only last about a week.

What Lozzo said.
Even if the swingarm does suffer, they are dirt cheap used. I was breaking bikes at the shop I worked at recently and we had a huge pile of used swingarms - no-one ever buys them and they are pretty worthless

The 'pros' at the dealer when I bought my Fazer just used cableties to hold the tube in place along the swingarm. It's worked great, apart from the fact that they ignored the instructions and so the nozzle is nearer the front of the gear as opposed to towards the back.

doesnt matter that much tbh.

Have had no probs at all with a dual injector on my thou. It is quite a sturdy mounting, and the nibs stay where you put them without needing a fiddly wire insert.

I never had any luck with sticky pads either, even cleaning the parts with acetone after roughing with emery.
Far prefer bolting something to the swingarm bobbin hole and using a bit of brass tube as a nib.
