In the middle of getting all my parts needed for my front end swap....

Wanna pick all your brains with regard to the effects of going with the standard GSXR tyre size or staying with the SV standard size.

Obviously I know the rake/trail is affected by changing the forks from SV, especially noticeable on mine being a naked, (different fork offset to the S models) to GSXR, what I don't want is a twitchy front end (ooh err) at high speed....so should I use the 70 profile tyre to effectively raise the front ride height back up slightly....(GSXR slightly shorter fork length than SV).

Also, the rolling radius will be different using the 70 profile to stock, will I need a speedo healer?

Cheers!

Don't know about the rest but the rolling radius will be greater but speedos normally over read so you may find it more accurate.

I have a 120/70 tyre on a std SV front end, i find the bike is much keaner to lean in to corners and seems to lean further quicker if that makes sense.

Use the 120/70. It's the tyre the Sv should have on from the start. The only other bike I know of that uses a 120/60 is the early R6 and all the folks that run one now use a 120/70 tyre.

As stated the speedo will be more accurate.

Ok, thanks everyone!
That's made that decision then!
