ever thought about fitting a gsx400 shock on it,just a thought, and im fairly certain it will fit

some dimensions might help, what size holes on end of shock, and what does each end look like and what distance centre to centre,so how long is the shock

A lot of these older shocks don't have nitrogen valves so you have to retrofit one or use a different res end cap or something. Slight spanner in the works but not much.

Try and get a GK76 SP shock, they were different to a Std 76 and a lot better spec overall

Most of the 400 gixer shocks weren't really rebuildable.

I do know of someone who has managed to fit a fully adjustable Showa rear shock from a cbr1000 to his 1991 76a although it was a tight fit and some modification was needed. It apparently works well. I believe that the shock from a K4 1000 gsxr also fits.

Hagon and Maxton can do new replacements for you too.

do you know what mods had to be done to get it to fit?
or would you be able to find out how?

i like thatg idea alot :)

its got a sp rear shock in it already because the original broke, but the sp one failed the mot for no damping so was going to get it re gassed and some **** before me put a ally valve cap on the vavle abd it all corroded and i snapped it off :/ and i cant get the right valve to fit anywhere!
