Ahh crap. It's raining super bad in north & west Yorkshire, the roads are flooding & visibility is terrible.

To top it all off I don't know which CD's to bring in the van. Super gay. Super dry :D

Seriously considering bringing the car now, sydney deposited a whole load of oil on the ground and back tyre yesterday, not a good combination on wet slimy roads.

If you take the car and its chucking it down tonight I bags your back seat!

It was raining here but it has dried up again. Forecast is still for the weather to be dry during the daytime today

Heard on radio 1 news beat the environment agency reckon a months worth of rain could fall in the next 24 hours, so hopefully the weather system will have run out of steam by tomorrow

beautiful sunshine on the East Coast at the moment which will lead me into a false sense of what the journey down will be like. :(

waterproofs ready as i am sure they will be required at some point on the journey today.

stay safe and arrive safe for all who are still going.

Well, what was a VERY wet start this morning in Dumfries has now moved onto a cloudy, but dryer late-morning in Moffat.

It's looking promising kids...

Afraid I'm going to bail, I was undecided enough with the weather warnings, having not checked my bike over properly after doing the brakes, the possible lack of a tent and time & money constraints...but I got a call this morning that's swung it. I need to be in sheffield tomorrow night, it's a bit life critical!

Sorry to let people down, bibio I need to pm you re. the chain adjuster - sorry about that.
Going to search the threads now so I can let people know about food arrangements
Paul - sorry but my hatchet, tuxedo and penis will be staying in yorkshire this weekend.

Well I've just hung out two loads of washing, a sure fire guarantee of days of unbroken sunshine. No point clogging up my tailpack with waterproofs I wont need either. Yes, nothing can stop us now.

so much for us northern hardy bikers eh? The weather is absolutely horrid here, we've had awesome thunder and lightning both last night and this morning and it's barely stopped in 24 hours. Next year it is for us, hope everyone escapes it further oop norf...

i've just remembered that someone asked me for the sneaky road threw to to bridge from D&G might have been SIII or James?

here it is:
http://goo.gl/maps/oa79

its mostly always empty and fun rather than take the boring road.

Ah, the old days, when what is now the B800 was the only route to the bridge from the south. In those days it was never empty.

Eh, took me a while (actually I just forgot) but total mileage covered on mine and sv4me's scotland trip - 1854. This is not including my jaunt to dave's first, which is another er, 300ish? No idea too lazy to check.
