Not me.

Carol and I stripped Sylvie down today and checked the valve clearance and were delighted to find that every one was within tolerance. Mileage so far is just under 18K and she runs as sweet today, as the day she was made.

Next job is to refill the cooling system, we would have done it this evening but it got late so we retired for dinner. :drink:

Nicely done :)

I did the valve clearance check on my GSXR myself earlier this year. Scary while I was doing it but actually not so tough actually!

It is really very simple.

1, Removed fuel tank.
2, Take off top cover.
3, Ask wife to check clearances while watching what she she does.

Once she had shown me how to access the rear cylinder, I had a go with the front and found it really quit simple. I did have to remove the radiator, which you can see I have done on the pic. Getting the tool in place was tricky, but the feeler gauge slid in as it should. :rambo:

What this means is that if I can can undertake a valve clearance check, any one can, it is nothing to be afraid of and is actually quite simple, especially if you have a loving wife ready to help if you get stuck. By the way Geo, if you want your bike doing, you need to get to Weston and speak nicely to the wife. She is a good sort. :smt075
