First my family, second my bike and as I have just discovered third my netbook and this forum. I did not know how much I would miss my netbook if I didn't have it, then my son accidentally spilled a cup of water over it this afternoon. No life from it at all, hubby tried using the hairdryer (I am amazed he knew how to turn it on he has been bald for so long!) still dead. A general pallor of unhappiness permeated the house, then I thought I would just give it one more try and it worked. Whole house is now happy because mum has her netbook back. Think about it, how long could you last without this little window on the world.

Ah you've been infected too, there's no known cure :smt118
If you've got an airing cupboard, stick it in there overnight to dry it out properly or in a plastic bag with some rice

Yup, the airing cupboard was where it went for the hour before I turned a cool hairdryer on it. The freezer-bag & rice trick might be used as a double-check overnight though.

Paragraphs.
For goodness sake I am only 44, they taught us about apostrophes but not about paragraphs. Long live the apostrophe, I heard a great one today, it went as follows:- There is no dinner left I will eat the dog's or perhaps it is There is no dinner left I will eat the dogs. Again I say I love apostrophes

What am I unable to live with out?
The love of my partner Carol, her glorious hugs and her warm smile.
Freedom.
My books.
My music.
Lastly has to be the feeling of riding my bike when the roads are quiet and dry. Obviously I need my bike for this, so she is included in this.

Tried it and loved it. I lived in a tent on a beach for nine months and went climbing every day. It is funny living with out electricity when we are so used to it. Would I do it again? Probably not, being cold these days makes my joints hurt and sleeping in snow would probably make the wife leave me! :smt039

A friend who went on a climbing trip to the Himalayas said that dog tastes unpleasant and the flesh is gritty. Not recommended, although dog food is OK especially as it is produced to appeal to human tastes to encourage human owners to buy what they think the pet will like.

Me cool? That is hilarious!
Just to complete your picture, I am also a massive Star Wars fan. This was the year that Phantom Menace was released, I booked the day off work so that I could go to the Cinema, five months before the film was released! I watched it twice... \\:D/
I am a nerd and proud. :queen:
