Thought I'd start a new thread for this. Saturday is looking good weather wise. Probably will all change, but assuming it doesn't, who's up for a jaunt?
I should be free. if I can book my time now, I can make sure I have an excuse (next best thing!). Up for a similar route to Loomies, or more south, or have another go around the Pirbrite bends and that general area. Any ideas welcome.
I'm in if the weather is decent mate.
I'm on nights tomorrow night and finish at 0900 on Saturday so I will prob meet you guys later in the afternoon. Let me know where you'r going to be stopping for a tea break/lunch.

It's all about the weather for me! I've not ridden in the Sun since I got my bike.
Hopefully it will be nice on Saturday, but look at Sunday!

Nah in the cage, going to a wedding. Got a few bits to take up and ferrying people round on the weekend. Will be doing plenty of good roads in France the weekend after :cool:

Just got back from a blast with a mate. Shall upload a vid later on. Twas entertaining!
I'm up for anything. Really, routes shouldn't be up to me. I have no clue. When I lead, I always end up on a motorway with no exits. Not fun. When Tom sent me home last weekend, I only had to get to the A30, but instead I ended up in Reading. Today I took a wrong turn in Basingstoke (I'm supposed to know this place), and ended up riding into a college. Alas, I only saw 6th form boys ... no girls.
So no. I won't be contributing to routes or directions.

The dry is the business matey. Had an awesome ride today down to loomies from Winchester, then back to Basingstoke. And the roads weren't very busy. Had a good few sections where I could open it up and enjoy some sweeping corners. The vid actually had turned out pretty good .... except for being a pleb and not rotating the lens on the camera. Had to rotate all the footage and now it's a bit square, but fun times anyway. :) I'll post it up in this thread, as the guy I'm riding with may come on sunday too.

If you edit it in Windows Movie Maker you can flip the video and then save it mate. Easy as.

Just been giving Tom Spielberg here the same advice via text. You can flip it on YouTube too. I would love to take the pish but having recorded all my footage today at 90 degrees on its side, I am a complete fool too.

I'll try and make it too just so long a Nathan's fixed what ever it was that was making my bike ride his bow wave. I have a nice new rear tyre that needs scrubbing in before I take the ferry to France. I can also show you all another route to Loomies from the holiday-inn if you like to save you getting too bored with the usual one via Alton.

@Mark_H - Would normally jump at the chance to learn a new route to Loomies but I have just managed to suss a new rear facing mount point for my camera. Since the only part of the trip I will know will be from the Holiday in to Loomies (got no sense of direction!), I'm thinking it's the only opportunity for me to lead and get the convoy on film. So you alright with me leading that bit?

If anyone want's a wiggly route to the start point I'll be leaving the Oatsheaf in Fleet 09:30 sharp!
I'll be leaving you all at Loomies so someone else will need to sort a route from there but I can give some pointers if needed.
Never seen myself riding on video so may have to drop to position 2 for a bit just to see how fat I look on the bike!
All seems to be coming together nicely. We need to get a group shot at Loomies before people disappear.

Brilliant ride out thanks alot guys, shame I had to turn round just after Petersfield but the fuel light started flashing on me :P Great fun though, easily the best ride I've had yet.
Get editing fallout! Oh and keep the sound, wanna hear the sound of the engines ;)
Good turn out. Apparently we peaked at 11 riders but seems we lost a couple in Petersfield. Did you lot make it to the seaside?
Unfortunately the SD card in my camera has been corrupted by the weird field that projects from the front of Nathan's bike so will have to see if anything can be salvaged.
Will certainly have to go out again in a couple of weeks when I get back from France.

I hold them up anyway so there's no dramas there mate. You're back in the saddle and healthy, that's all you need to worry about.
We all ride how we want to ride. There's no pressure. Mark usually bombs off with Nathan egging him on, and we meet at the next junction.
Nice to meet you anyway mate. Even if you did make my SV look bad with your flash fairing. :-)

£15 is about 10 litres of petrol mate. :)
Can you believe it? All that time looking for some seafood for the wife, and she's still in a mood with me when I get back!

I think if I ever have an off, I will ride like a granny on a mobility scooter for a fair while until I get my confidence back. Nathan and I have just come from 7, and yeah it's disbanding. There's only a handful of people left there now. They are just doing the final closure stuff.

Anyone know of any decent and free tools to recover an sd card. Mine has screwed the fat table. Few tools find the avi files but then want to charge to let me see them. No idea of there is anything decent on it. But if here is you could mix my front of pack forward footage with your rear facing stuff.

Sorry Mark, no idea. I'll make a vid of all the footage I've got today, but if you manage to salvage your stuff, I'll make another vid of my rear facing and your front facing footage combined. That was the best bit of the ride video wise. Looks ace and sounds pretty smart too. :)
