Flat battery - Curvy.

Hi everyone, went to start my SV 99 yr this morning and after 4 engine turns which it tried to fire it then resulted in nothin, just click every time I turned the key. Any suggestions

Only checks done is the battery and my optimate says green so assuming battery is okay and lights are all on.

Could be rectifier and alternator? Anyone now how I can check which one at fault or any other suggestion,many thanks

Locate your starter solenoid, turn the ignition on, put a screwdriver between the points, if engine turns over the solenoid is duff, shouldn't be too expensive to buy a new one.

BTW you may get a bit of a spark but don't panic just hold the screwdriver, when the engine turns the spark will stop.
