View Full Version : Wiring heated grips?

Morning all

I have heated grips on my bike which I'm yet to wire up (definitely doing it now, even my Held Freezer gloves succumbed to the bitter cold this morning!) and I'm wondering if there's a set way to use a relay so they only work once the ignition is on. I don't want to risk draining the battery overnight by either accidentally leaving them on or there being an issue with them draining even when turned off.

Any help will be muchos appreciated :)

Look at the fuse box, there is a spare terminal on the far right hand side, use this.
Remember to put a fuse in so that it works as well obviously.

Or, buy one of these once they are made...

I'm completely inept at anything electronics...

So would I be putting a fuse in there and wiring the grips to that? Apologies if that sounds absolutely retarded haha

Ah brilliant, looks a doddle...especially as they're already fitted. Will just need some extra wire and some bullet connectors. Thanks for the link :)
