Hi all..
The curvy has been stood for 4 weeks and this morning I went to use it for work, Noticed the choke lever was a bit stiff, started it up etc etc went to move the lever back and it moved easy enough but the choke is still applied? Does the cable need a grease? or something more sinister..also I had to ride the bike does it matter?
cheers
Sounds like the cable is stuck, lift the tank, take off the air box and sort it at both ends with a bit of light oil.

Ok thanks, is that where the cable splits to the 2 carbs?

And while you are under there do the choke plungers on the cabs as well. They may or may not be the problem this time but soon will be if not maintained regularly.

Had the same problem on my curvy with the sticking cable. Dripping oil down made it a bit better but after a while it made more sense to replace the cable (it's not expensive). Beware of the plunger retaining screws as they're made of cheese - I cheated with mine and had Spannerman do them along with the cable during a service.

+1 do this. It is worth it in the long run. Do it soon before your plugs foul up as well.

Same issue with mine this morning and the bike hunts at idle between 1000-1300 so it looks like a Sunday full of scrapped knuckles, potential burred screw heads and general swearing.
Will riding short term with the hunting at idle cause any further problems in terms of mixture?
