ive just bought a yamaha r6 throttle tube for my 2010 sv650s pointy it fits in the housing fine but there is loads off play i adjusted the cables as much as they would go but it was no different is there a certain year of throttle tube to fit a certain year of bike has anyone else had this problem????

2004 R6 tube fits curvey, but needs modification for a pointy.

yes - "On the Gen-II’s a little bit of the tube needs to be cut away otherwise the throttle will not return to a fully closed position"
