Hi all,

Purchased my first 'big bike' about a month or so ago, a 2003 sv650

The past few days I have noticed whilst commuting to work it seems to die for a split second as if I had shut the throttle off when I hadn't.. Only a split second though.

Today the bike seemed to die for about 5/10 seconds whilst doing about 50, throttle was completely unresponsive then all of a sudden it cut back in with a big bang from the exhaust.. The bike seemed to run fine the rest of the 15 miles to work..
Shortly after though I noticed the speedo is all over the place now, saying I'm doing 180 when I'm actually going about 20...

Any ideas? I'm baffled!

Cheers in advance. .

Sounds battery related to me.
Loose connection.
Faulty regulator rectifier.
Check your earths too. Frame/Engine Engine/Battery Frame/Battery.
Could be any of these.
