So, my macbook pro recently ran out of battery rather fast, i.e. before I could power down. I had a dual boot of MacOS 10.6.8 and Linux 12.4.
After the battery crash it no longer gives me the option for which operating system (the refit screen), and I have no way of starting up Linux, which is really the operating system I use most on it anyway. It also forgot all my history in browser, my wifi password and even down to what time it is, though that has sorted itself out once it has connected properly. The first few reboots, it kept forgetting all this between reboots, and when going to the google homepage on Firefox it kept deciding that I did not have a trusted connection. It was fine before.
Anyone else had this, or even fancies offering an opinion on what is going on, cos I have no idea.
