All set to go on the Marpril meat run this Sunday so I took the bike around the block today to see if there were any problems. There is. When I got back, I saw rainbows on my drive. So now I have 2 days to find and fix the oil leak.

Update.

It turns out that it's a corroded oil pipe and needs to be replaced. I have ordered a replacement, but it won't arrive until Monday so I can't do the Marpril meat run this Sunday. Bummer!

Sorry to hear that, there's always next time.....I am no longer working Mondays or Fridays so have a little more time on my hands now....let me know if you fancy a meet up before anything formal gets arranged

Yep, ACF50 is the answer to everything :)

Better than breaking down on the rideout with a blown engine

See you next time Herot, we need a Ice Cream ride out to sunny Hunny

Yes Ice cream run to Hunstanton.
Poll anyone!

Oh no. My partners dad died and left her his bungalow in Hunstanton which was in an unsalable condition. We spent every weekend from October to February renovating it. I have seen enough of Hunstanton to last me a long time.

Alright, Sheringham or Cromer then

I'd say the next one we head to Wells for ice cream then go east along the coast road until Walcott and have coffee/chips/whatever....There's great roads heading east from Gayton (near Kings Lynn) which we could include in the mix too before heading to the coast etc.....but we can discuss options when we meet up and not include Hunstanton in the list so painful decorating/renovation memories don't return for Heorot ! ;)

So....Sunday, 10:00-10:30am at the Red Lodge Cafe, I should be there for 10am as I want to go large with their breaky :)

Yep, great place for ice cream, you can then take the road from there to Burnham Market, then turn left past my sisters cottage at the duck pond in Stanhoe, then ride that way home, or straight on through Docking to Hunstanton. This avoids the coast road, which always has too many cars, too many sunday bikers and policemen with speed guns

Any thoughts on times for Sunday at Tesco Mav?

maviczap

if we want to be there for grub, the 9.15 at Tesco is what we usually do leave by 09:30 at the latest?

How about something like this, meeting at the Whitwell & Reepham Train Station (http://whitwellstation.com/) and doing a loop covering the gayton road, then up to Wells, then a little along until coming back down through Holt etc, we'll touch the coast but not for too long

Nice to see you all, good ride although there are too many 30/40 limits now....we may want to try and come up with a better route for next year....

We didn't win the raffle, Kenzie, if you'd have stayed back a little longer you would have won something....the raffle numbers drawn we either side of all of ours....

I hope all got home OK? Mavic, especially you! Got a reg/rec on order yet?

JUST!

Justing sitting down to a cup of tea. Had to stop for fuel at Ipswich, as the light came on, wasn't going to risk running out. As expected it wouldn't start & some nice guy in an Audi helped me push it, it still wouldn't start!!!!!

I gave it a go & managed to bump it back into life, and ride it home!

Up until then it had been quite a nice ride out.

Big thanks to Kai & NTECUK for coming back to find me as I'd still be in Bury right now!

Tea & Ice Cream on me next time

I do have an uprated RR in my spares box :D

Yeah we got home fine. Found a petrol station in Haverhill and then headed back via Clare, Long Melford, Sudbury and Hadleigh. Locked the back wheel up on a humpback bridge as a car was coming the other way a bit quick with priorty
